It was released on August 2, 2006, and was their first single to be released as a CD single and CD+DVD single. "Splash Gold -Natsu no Kiseki-" is a mid-tempo pop song with Okinawan folk influences. "Prism of Eyes" was used as the ending theme to Tokusatsu series Madan Senki Ryukendo is a Japanese superhero-genre tokusatsu television series. It was Takara and We've Inc's first attempt at a tokusatsu series. This series aired at 7:00 JST on TV Aichi from January 8 to December 31, 2006. MAX (pronounced "Max") is a Japanese female vocal group. The name is an acronym for "musical active experience". The original members of MAX made their musical debut as members of the Super Monkey's along with lead vocalist Namie Amuro. It was also the first single to be released since the departure of Aki and comeback of original lead singer, Mina. The title track was used as the theme song for TV Tokyo drama, "Kariyushi Sensei Chibaru." Release and promotion The group mentioned plans for a new single in an interview with news publication, Chunichi on December 10, 2008. The single was confirmed on April 25, 2009 by their management company's official website. Media reports announcing a tie-in between MAX and the drama series, "Kariyushi Sensei Chibaru" revealed the title of one of the songs included on the single to be "Rough Cut Diamond."
