Spikers' Turf 1st Season Open Conference
The Spikers' Turf 1st Season Open Conference is the inaugural conference of Spikers' Turf. The opening ceremony was held on April 5, 2015 with the first match of volleyball game at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila. There were eight (8) competing teams in this conference. Tournament Format Preliminaries (PL) Single Round-robin. Top four (4) teams qualified for the Semifinals. Semi-finals (SF) The four (4) semi-finalists will compete against each other in a single-round robin phase. * Top two (2) SF teams will compete for GOLD. * Bottom two (2) SF teams will compete for BRONZE. Finals The battle for GOLD and the battle for BRONZE will both follow the best-of-three format, provided: * If the battle for GOLD ends in two (2) matches (2-0), then there will no longer be a Game 3 for either GOLD or Bronze. PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters
The PLDT Home Fibr Hitters, or the PLDT Volleyball Club is a professional men's volleyball team owned by PLDT. It was established in 2013 and originally consisted of men's and women's teams. In 2018, the women's team became merged with the Smart Giga Hitters (later renamed PLDT Home Fibr Hitters women's team). The men's team has been playing in the Spikers' Turf since October 2018. History The club debuted in 2013 with the women's team debuting first as the PLDT myDSL Speed Boosters women's team in the Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2013 Invitational Conference. The men's team would follow debuting in the following conference. In 2014, while participating in the PSL, the club joined in the Shakey's V-League with its women's team as the PLDT Home Telpad Turbo Boosters during the 2014 Open Conference. Spikers' Turf
The Spikers' Turf is a men's semi-professional volleyball league in the Philippines associated with the Sports Vision Management Group, Inc. (Sports Vision). History The league had its beginnings in 2014, when the Shakey's V-League introduced a men's division during its Shakey's V-League 11th Season Reinforced Open Conference, 21st conference. The following year, Sports Vision decided to spin-off the men's division as a separate league, giving birth to the Spikers' Turf. In late-2016, Sports Vision announced that the league be merged back in the 2017 season with the Shakey's V-League (which was renamed as the Premier Volleyball League; PVL). The men's division in the PVL ended with the 2018 Premier Volleyball League Collegiate Conference, 2018 PVL Collegiate Conference as its final tournament. 2015 PSL All-Filipino Conference
The 2015 PLDT Home Ultera PSL All-Filipino was the first conference of the Philippine Super Liga for its third season. The conference began on March 21, 2015 at the Mall of Asia Arena and ended on May 14, 2015 at the Cuneta Astrodome. There was no tournament for the men's division. In the women's division, the former Generika Lifesavers became Shopinas.com Lady Clickers, the original Mane 'n Tail Lady Stallions were renamed Philips Gold Lady Slammers and a new team assumed the Mane 'n Tail name, while RC Cola did not participate. The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Open Conference was the 22nd conference of Shakey's V-League. The opening ceremony was held on April 5, 2015 with the first triple header of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila. There were eight competing teams for this conference. The PLDT Home Ultera Ultra Fast Hitters won its first Shakey's V-League championship, dethroning the defending champion, Philippine Army Lady Troopers, in three games. Marck Jesus Espejo
Marck Jesus Paguirigan Espejo (born March 1, 1997) is a Filipino volleyball athlete currently playing for Incheon Korean Air Jumbos, his first stint in V-League (South Korea). He is a member of the Philippines men's national volleyball team and played collegiate volleyball with Ateneo de Manila University. Career Youth Espejo studied at the Santa Elena High School - Marikina. While playing for his secondary school, Espejo bagged the Best Attacker awards in the 2012 Palarong Pambansa, 2011 National Milo Little Olympics Championship, 2012 and 2013 NCR Volleyball Regional Meet.
