''Spider-Geddon'' is a 2018 comic book limited series and crossover storyline published by Marvel Comics featuring multiple alternative versions of Spider-Man that had appeared in various media, and his supporting cast. In this sequel to ''Spider-Verse'', the Inheritors have found a way out of the decimated world they were imprisoned on and are now determined to take their revenge on the Spider-Army and feed on them once again. Publication history The story was first announced with blank teaser posters, with the tagline "Spider-Geddon is nigh". It was eventually revealed that the story would feature several alternate versions of Spider-Man and his related characters, like the previous crossover event, ''Spider-Verse''. The creative team, writer Christos Gage and artist Jorge Molina, was announced on June 29 in a press release. Alternative Versions Of Spider-Man
"Spider-Man" is the name of multiple comic book superheroes from the Marvel Comics Multiverse. The original and most well known is Peter Parker created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko originating from the Earth-616 universe. Within the mainstream Marvel Universe there have been characters that have taken the mantle such as Ben Reilly, Mac Gargan and Doctor Octopus. Outside of the mainstream universe, there are different incarnations of Spider-Man in alternate universes. Doctor Octopus (Dr. Otto Gunther Octavius), also known as Doc Ock for short, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and first appeared in ''The Amazing Spider-Man'' #3 (July 1963). He is a highly intelligent, myopic, and somewhat stocky mad scientist who sports four strong and durable appendages resembling an octopus's tentacles, which extend from the back of his body and can be used for various purposes. "Spider-Verse" is a 2014 in comics, 2014–2015 in comics, 15 comic book storyline published by Marvel Comics. It features multiple alternative versions of Spider-Man, alternative versions of Spider-Man that had appeared Spider-Man in other media, in various media, all under attack by Morlun and his family, Inheritors (comics), the Inheritors. The event was touted as including every single living spider-powered individual created up to that point, while also introducing many new ones. Spider-Punk (Hobart Brown) is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is an alternate version of Hobie Brown and Spider-Man who opposes President Norman Osborn, V.E.N.O.M., and the Inheritors. Spider-Punk is set to make his film debut in '' Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse'', voiced by Daniel Kaluuya.
