Spencer Ford
Spencer Ford (born April 20, 1976) is a professional lacrosse player who played in the Major League Lacrosse for the Baltimore/Washington Bayhawks, Los Angeles Riptide, and the Rochester Rattlers. He then went into coaching and management before being named the head coach of the Philadelphia Barrage in 2020. College career Ford attended Towson University, where, as a senior, in 1999, he recorded 53 assists for a nation's leading 4.08 assists per game, ranking tenth all-time in NCAA Division I lacrosse. On March 20, 1999 he recorded 13 points (5 goals & 8 assists), which is the second highest points per game by an individual. While at Towson, he was named to the All-Conference team three times. Washington Bayhawks
The Chesapeake Bayhawks were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Annapolis, Maryland since 2010. They played in the greater Baltimore metro area beginning with the MLL's inaugural 2001 season, as the Baltimore Bayhawks from 2001–2006 and as the Washington Bayhawks from 2007–2009. They won six Steinfeld Cup titles, the most of any MLL franchise. 2006 MLL Season
The 2006 Major League Lacrosse season was the sixth season of the league. The season began on May 20 and concluded with the championship game on August 27, 2006. General information The season marked the first expansion teams in the MLL. Chicago Machine, Denver Outlaws, Los Angeles Riptide and San Francisco Dragons made up the new Western Conference. The original six teams formed the Eastern Conference. New Jersey moved its home games to Yurcak Field and Rochester moved its home games to PAETEC Park. On April 21, MLL announced a trade involving six teams and 24 players and draft picks. MLL believes it to be the largest trade in sports history. Conor Gill (born February 6, 1980) is a professional lacrosse player who had an exceptional collegiate career at the University of Virginia before going on to the professional ranks. High school and collegiate career Conor Gill was a standout attackman in high school and college, attending St. Paul's School in Brooklandville, Maryland, where he set school records for most points in a season and most points in a career, and was selected as a high school All-American. At the University of Virginia, Gill was a three-time All-American selection (First Team in 2000 and 2001, and Second Team in 2002) and led the Virginia Cavaliers to three Final Four appearances, including an NCAA championship in 1999. The Philadelphia Barrage were a field lacrosse team that are based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and member of Major League Lacrosse. They were the Bridgeport Barrage from 2001 to 2003 at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The team then relocated to Philadelphia from the 2004 season to the 2007 season when they became a traveling team for 2008. The New York Lizards, originally the Long Island Lizards, were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) team based in Hempstead, New York, located on Long Island. They are original members of the MLL.
