Ahmed Zaki (politician)
Ahmed Zaki (16 April 1931 – 15 November 1996) was a Maldivian politician. He served as the speaker of People's Majlis from 1959 to 1972. In 1972, he was appointed as Prime Minister of the Republic of Maldives. However, in March 1975, newly elected Prime Minister Zaki was arrested in a bloodless coup and was banished to a remote atoll. Abdulla Shahid ( dv, ޢަބްދުﷲ ޝާހިދު; born 26 May 1962) is Maldivian politician who served as President of the 76th United Nations General Assembly between 2021 and 2022. Shahid is the first Maldivian politician to hold that post. He has been serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maldives since 2018. Abdulla Hameed (c.1939 - 18 August 2015) was a Maldivian politician. He was the Minister of Atolls during the administration of his brother Maumoon Abdul Gayoom.
