''Invasion of the Animal People'' (''Rymdinvasion i Lappland'' in Sweden and ''Terror in the Midnight Sun'' internationally) is a 1959 Swedish-American black-and-white science fiction-monster film released to Swedish cinemas on August 19, 1959. The film was produced by Bertil Jernberg and Gustaf Unger, directed by American Virgil W. Vogel, and stars Barbara Wilson, Robert Burton, and Stan Gester. Written by Arthur C. Pierce, the film had most of its dialogue in English. ''Space Invasion of Lapland'' was heavily re-edited by American producer Jerry Warren and had newly filmed American sequences added. The film had its U.S. release in 1962 under the title ''Invasion of the Animal People'' as a double feature with Warren's ''Terror of the Bloodhunters''. Gösta Prüzelius
Karl Gösta Prüzelius (11 August 1922 – 15 May 2000) was a Swedish actor. His first film part was in the 1945 film Flickorna i Småland. He played in films as diverse as ''Summer with Monika'', '' Space Invasion of Lapland'', ''Fanny and Alexander'', and Ingmar Bergman's film version of ''The Magic Flute'' (1975). He also provided the Swedish voice for Bagheera in Disney's ''The Jungle Book'' (1967), and played the policeman Klöverhage in a number of the Åsa-Nisse films. Gösta Prüzelius worked at Sweden's Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm from 1964 and for more than 30 years. On television, Gösta Prüzelius starred in the long-running soap opera ''Rederiet'', where he played the main character, shipping company owner Reidar Dahlén, from the series' start in 1992 until his death. Something Weird Video is an American film distributor company based in Seattle, Washington. They specialize in exploitation B to Z films, particularly the works of Harry Novak, Doris Wishman, David F. Friedman and Herschell Gordon Lewis. Inspiration The company is named after Lewis' 1967 film '' Something Weird'', and the logo is taken from that film's original poster art. History Something Weird Video was founded in 1990 by Mike Vraney in Seattle. He was inspired by his teenage job as a theater projectionist. "Ack Värmeland, du sköna" or "Värmlandsvisan" is a Swedish popular song, best known in the English-speaking world as "Dear Old Stockholm". "Ack Värmeland, du sköna" The Swedish title may be roughly translated as "Oh Värmland, you beautiful" and the song praises the historical province (landskap) Värmland. Shortwave radio is radio transmission using shortwave (SW) radio frequencies. There is no official definition of the band, but the range always includes all of the high frequency band (HF), which extends from 3 to 30 MHz (100 to 10 metres); above the medium frequency band (MF), to the bottom of the VHF band.
