The Soviet First League (1936–91) was the second tier league of association football in the Soviet Union. In the 1946 season, VVS Moscow finished top of the Southern Group, and FC Pishchevik Moscow finished top of the Eastern Group. VVS won the two-leg playoff. The Soviet First League in football (russian: Первая лига СССР по футболу) was the second highest division of Soviet football,Evgeni Kazakov. While the second tier competitions in football among "teams of masters" (an official term for the Soviet professional clubs) existed since 1936, the First League has been officially formed in 1971 out of the Class A First Group. FC Electrosila Leningrad (russian: Электросила Ленинград) or Krasnaya Zorya (russian: Красная Заря) was a Soviet association football club from Leningrad, Soviet Union. The club played in the Soviet Top League from its inception to World War II. Until 1930 Krasnaya Zorya played in local competitions of Leningrad city and later in the city championship. In 1940 it lost most of its players when massive changes took place in the Soviet competitions before the 1941 season. FC Zvezda Perm (russian: link=no, ФК "Звезда" Пермь) was a Russian football team from Perm, established in 1932 and dissolved in 2022. History It played professionally from 1945 to 1949 and 1953 to 1995, and was established first in 1932. It played on the second-highest level (Soviet First League and Russian First Division) in 1945–1949, 1953–1962, 1966–1969, 1972–1977, 1979, 1988 and 1992–1994, with the best result being 2nd place in 1960 and 3rd place in 1947, 1958 and 1992. It was called Krylia Sovetov Molotov until 1957, Perm was called Molotov during the period. After the team was dissolved in 1997, Perm was represented professionally by FC Amkar Perm. Hockey Club Sibir Novosibirsk Oblast (russian: ХК Сибирь, en, Siberia HC), also known as HC Sibir or Sibir Novosibirsk, is a Russian professional ice hockey team based in Novosibirsk. They are members of the Chernyshev Division in the Kontinental Hockey League. History Ice hockey was introduced to Novosibirsk in 1948 by Ivan Tsyba, who returned from a hockey seminar in Moscow with equipment to play the sport. Immediately popular amongst the populace, the local sports society, Dynamo, decided to establish a hockey team. The first hockey rink was built in autumn 1948 near the Ob River. A second rink was built in February 1949, at the Spartak Stadium. Several teams played in Novosibirsk in this era, the strongest being Dynamo. FC Spartak Leningrad (russian: «Спартак» Ленинград) was a Soviet football club from Leningrad existed since 1931 until 1967 (other names - Promkooperatsiya in 1931-34 and Avtomobilist in 1965-67). It played at first level of the Soviet football pyramid (Group A) in 1938 (was relegated) and 1941 (championship abandoned because of the Great Patriotiс War), and at its second level (Group B / Second group / Class B) in 1936-37, 1939–40, 1945–49, 1959-62 (was a Group B winner in 1937), and at its third level (Class B) in 1963-66.
