Antonio Pietrangeli (19 January 191912 July 1968) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. He was a major practitioner of the Commedia all'italiana genre. Biography Pietrangeli was born in Rome. He started in the film industry by writing movie reviews for Italian cinema magazines such as ''Bianco e Nero'' and ''Cinema''. As a screenwriter, his works include ''Ossessione'' and '' La terra trema'' directed by Luchino Visconti, '' Fabiola'' directed by Alessandro Blasetti, and ''Europa '51'' directed by Roberto Rossellini. Pietrangeli's own directing debut was '' Il sole negli occhi'', a 1953 film starring Gabriele Ferzetti. Francesco Mulè
Francesco Mulè (3 December 1926 – 4 November 1984), was an Italian actor, voice actor and television and radio personality. He appeared in 74 films between 1953 and 1979. Born in Rome, the son of composer Giuseppe Mulè, he studied at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts and debuted in the stage company held by Renzo Ricci. He got a large popularity thanks to his radio and television appearances as a presenter and a comedian. He was also active as a character actor in films and on stage. Mario Carotenuto (30 June 1916 – 14 April 1995) was an Italian actor of film and theatre. Biography Carotenuto, the son of a silent film actor and younger brother of the actor Memmo Carotenuto, took various humble jobs for many years before starting his own artistic career in 1946, first as a radio actor and then joining small avanspettacolo companies. Lelio Luttazzi (27 April 1923 – 8 July 2010) was an Italian composer, musician, actor, singer, conductor, writer, and television and radio presenter. Born in Trieste, Luttazzi began playing the piano at Radio Trieste and composing his first songs when he was student in law at the University of Trieste during the Second World War. After the war, he had from SIAE a gain of 350,000 lire, a considerable sum for the time, so he decided to become a full-time composer and in 1948 he moved to Milan where he began working with fellow Teddy Reno at the record company CGD. He was among the first composers to place jazz structures in the Italian songs.
