Southern Miss Golden Eagles Men's Basketball
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles basketball program represents intercollegiate men's basketball at the University of Southern Mississippi. The school competes in the Sun Belt Conference in Division I of the NCAA and plays their home games at Reed Green Coliseum, which has a capacity of 8,095. History From its first season (1912–13), when Coach R. G. Slay led the team to a 3–0 record, the men's basketball team has enjoyed its share of success. Coach A. B. Dille took over coaching duties the following year. The Golden Eagles have appeared in the NAIA National Tournament four times in a row ( 1952, 1953, 1954 and 1955). Southern Miss had a 2–4 record in the NAIA Tournament. Over the years, the Golden Eagles have had three NCAA teams (1990, 1991, 2012). The program has also had an NIT Championship team with its run in the 1987 postseason tournament. Sun Belt Conference
The Sun Belt Conference (SBC) is a collegiate athletic conference that has been affiliated with the NCAA's Division I since 1976. The 1994 National Invitation Tournament was the 1994 edition of the annual NCAA college basketball competition. Of note, in Kansas State's 115–77 victory over Fresno State in the quarterfinals, Askia Jones of Kansas State set the NCAA postseason record of 14 three-point field goals. 2011–12 Kansas State Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball team represented Kansas State University in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The head coach was Frank Martin, who served in his 5th year at the helm of the Wildcats. The team played its home games in Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan, Kansas, as they have done so since 1988. Kansas State is a member of the Big 12 Conference. The team set a school record for fewest points allowed in the shot clock era. The team concluded the conference season with 10–8 to finish in 5th place in the Big 12. They were defeated by Baylor in the quarterfinals in the 2012 Big 12 men's basketball tournament. NC State Wolfpack Men's Basketball
The NC State Wolfpack men's basketball team represents North Carolina State University in NCAA Division I men's basketball competition. N.C. State is one of the seven founding members of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
