South Zone Cricket Team
The South Zone cricket team is a first-class cricket team that represents southern India in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and previously in Duleep Trophy and Deodhar Trophy also. It is a composite team of players from six first-class Indian teams from southern India competing in the Ranji Trophy: Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. South Zone has the third strongest track record of all the zones in the Duleep Trophy, as they have won the Trophy 11 times, with the best team, North Zone having won 17 times. First Class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis. Ricky Bhui
Ricky Bhui (born 29 September 1996) is an Indian professional cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional leg spinner. Bhui scored an unbeaten hundred on his List A debut and also scored an unbeaten hundred on his Twenty20 debut. He is also a member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise in the IPL. In December 2015 he was named in India's squad for the 2016 Under-19 Cricket World Cup and is the youngest player to feature in the tournament so far. Left-arm orthodox spin, Left-arm off spin also known as slow left-arm orthodox spin bowling, is a type of Finger spin, left-arm finger spin bowling (cricket), bowling in the sport of cricket. Fast bowling (also referred to as pace bowling) is one of two main approaches to bowling in the sport of cricket, the other being spin bowling. Practitioners of pace bowling are usually known as ''fast'' bowlers, ''quicks'', or ''pacemen''. Ranganath Vinay Kumar (born 12 February 1984) is a former cricketer who has represented India at Test, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 levels. Krishnakumar Dinesh Karthik (born 1 June 1985) is an Indian professional cricketer and commentator who nationally plays for the Indian Cricket Team and currently in Indian Premier League playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore.
