The South Africa women's under-19 cricket team represents South Africa in international under-19 women's cricket. The team is administrated by Cricket South Africa. The team played their first official international matches against India in late 2022 and early 2023, in preparation for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup, the first ever international women's under-19 cricket competition, held in South Africa. They reached the Super Six stage at the inaugural tournament. Dinesha Devnarain (born 12 November 1988) is a South African former cricketer who played as a right-handed batter and right-arm medium. 2022–23 Women's T20 Super League
The 2022–23 Women's T20 Super League was the fourth edition of the Women's T20 Super League competition, that took place in South Africa. It took place from 12 to 16 December 2022, with 4 teams competing: three composite teams of the best players in South Africa, and the South Africa Under-19 team for the 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup. With five matches abandoned due to rain, no overall winner was declared for the competition. Starlights topped the group standings, winning all of their completed matches. 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup
The 2023 ICC Under-19 Women's T20 World Cup was the first edition of the ICC Women's Under-19 Cricket World Cup, hosted by South Africa in 2023. The tournament was moved from its original slot at the end of 2021 to January 2023 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Sixteen teams competed in the tournament, initially divided into four groups. India, England, Australia and New Zealand progressed to the semi-finals of the competition. In the semi-finals, India beat New Zealand by 8 wickets and England beat Australia by 3 runs.
