''Soup of Life'' (simplified Chinese: 砂煲肉骨茶) is the tenth Malaysian production by MediaCorp Studios Malaysia. Filming began in 2013 and took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It stars Yao Wenlong , Ann Kok , Belinda Lee, Terence Cao , Nat Ho , Zhou Ying , Jerry Yeo & Lin Meijiao as the casts of the series. It made its debut in Singapore on 5 February 2014. The show aired at 9pm on weekdays and had a repeat telecast at 8am the following day. The drama is the third Malaysian production set in modern-day to incorporate Singaporean elements after Break Free and The Enchanted. As the drama is produced as a Malaysian production, the series was not nominated for any Star Awards, an annual Singapore television award show. Channel 8 ( zh, 8頻道) is a Singaporean free-to-air television channel, airing in Mandarin Chinese. It was created by Mediacorp, Television Singapura on 31 August 1963 with experimental broadcasts, before going official on 23 November that year. The channel's logo is a yellow number 8 on top of a red disc. History Channel 8 began its test transmissions on Saturday, 31 August 1963, Malaysia's national day. Its first day consisted of a Hokkien film, repeats of India's participation in the South East Asian Cultural Festival and Singapore Celebrates. Star Awards
The Star Awards (Chinese: 红星大奖) are awards for artistic and technical merit in the media organisation Mediacorp of Singapore where Mediacorp recognises entertainers under their employment for outstanding performances of the year. The awards are given annually in a ceremony. The various category winners are awarded a trophy, with initial designs featuring various star shapes. The star was subsequently removed and the trophy is designed as a S shaped column, depicting the star. The Enchanted (simplified Chinese: 浴女图) is considered the ninth Malaysian production by Mediacorp Studios Malaysia. Filming began in 2012 and took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It made its debut in Singapore on 15 August 2013, though it first aired in Malaysia's Astro Shuang Xing on 9 May 2013.
