Sopa De Cabra
Sopa de Cabra ('Goat Soup') is a musical group from Girona, Catalonia, Spain, active from 1986 to 2002 and since 2015. They are considered to be one of the leading representatives of the rock català movement, though the band prefer not to be placed in the same category as other Catalan-language groups, some of whom had very different musical styles, simply on the basis of singing in Catalan. Sopa de Cabra's classic songs include ''L'Empordà'', ''Camins'' ("Paths") and ''El Far del Sud'' ("The Southern Lighthouse"). In September 2011, the band reunited temporarily to mark the 25th anniversary of their formation and the tenth of their final performances with a tour of seven concerts. They reformed in 2015 and have since released two albums. Girona (officially and in Catalan , Spanish: ''Gerona'' ) is a city in northern Catalonia, Spain, at the confluence of the Ter, Onyar, Galligants, and Güell rivers. "War" is a song recorded and made popular by Bob Marley. It first appeared on Bob Marley and the Wailers' 1976 Island Records album, '' Rastaman Vibration'', Marley's only top 10 album in the USA. (In UK it reached position 15 May 15, 1976.) The lyrics are almost entirely derived from a speech made by Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie I before the United Nations General Assembly on 4 October 1963. Songwriting controversy "War" is credited to Allen "Skill" Cole (idea) and Carlton Barrett (music); the music was an extension of the one-drop drumming style, which Carlton Barrett had developed and refined, if not invented. The lyrics are a near-exact repetition of a 1963 speech in the UN by the Ethiopian emperor Haile Selassie. However, the two simple guitar chords and the semi-improvised, spirited melody put to Selassie's words is unmistakably Marley's. Razzmatazz (club)
Razzmatazz (also known as Razz) is a nightclub and concert hall in the Poblenou neighbourhood in Barcelona, Spain. It is one of the city's biggest with a capacity of over 2,000 people in its main hall. The club is formed of five halls where different genres of music are played even though the most played are indie pop, electronic and pop music. Razzmatazz is the "evolution" of the Sala Zeleste, which closed back in 2000 due to its economic debt with the Social Security. The club is named after the song " Razzmatazz" by Pulp. Sau (band)
Sau was a music group from Catalonia, which rose to fame in the area in the 1990s, being among the first groups to write pop music with Catalan lyrics, known as ''rock català''. The band's two main members were Carles Sabater, singer, and Pep Sala, who played guitar and sometimes keyboard. Sabater's death following a concert in 1999 ended the band's existence. Pep Sala was the composer whilst lyrics were written together with Carles Sabater. ''No puc deixar de fumar'' (''I cannot quit smoking'') was their first album. Edited in 1988 by "Audiovisuals de Sarrià", the album contained the hits "Records d'Irlanda" ("Memories of Ireland") and the song "Deprimit" ("Depressed") which had an appearance on each subsequent album.
