Sontham (2002 Film)
''Sontham'' () is a 2002 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film was released on 23 August 2002. It was directed by Srinu Vaitla. The film stars Aryan Rajesh, Namitha, Rohit, Sunil and Neha Pendse. Devi Sri Prasad has composed the score. Plot Vamsy, Nandu and Bose are childhood friends. Vamsy and Nandu grew up very close. Bose falls in love with Sowmya, one of their college mates. When Bose tells Vamsy about her, he deems it to be one more love affair that is bound to fail. Vamsy feels that friendship is more valuable than love and that love spoils a friendship. Nandu, who wanted to share her love towards Vamsy on his birthday, goes back to the shelter as she feels Vamsy might get offended. Vamsy leaves for New Zealand to supervise the overseas operations of his father's company. In New Zealand, Vamsy realizes that he is in love with Nandu through a colleague at work, Maggy. Srinu Vaitla
Srinu Vaitla (born 24 September 1972) is an Indian film director who works in Telugu cinema. Known for his best film works in the action comedy genre, Vaitla made his directional debut with ''Nee Kosam'' (1999) starring Ravi Teja and Maheswari. His second directorial venture ''Anandam'' (2001) gave him recognition as a director. Jaya Prakash Reddy
Jaya Prakash Reddy (8 May 1946 – 8 September 2020) was an Indian actor who predominantly appeared in Telugu films. Born in Sirvel of Andhra Pradesh, he came into the limelight with the film ''Samarasimha Reddy'' (1999) where he played the role of Veera Raghava Reddy. He acted as an antagonist in several films such as ''Jayam Manade Raa'' (2000) and '' Chennakesava Reddy'' (2002). Later in his career, he was also featured in many comic roles. He died at his home in Guntur on 8 September 2020, at an age of 74, from massive cardiac arrest.
