Sonnet To Sleep
Sonnet to Sleep is an indie rock band from Lakeland, Florida which was formed in 2005. Band history Originally called The Love Affair, Sonnet to Sleep changed their name upon signing to Nashville-based indie label South Pawl Records in 2008, due to the name conflict with the London-based pop band Love Affair from the 1960s. Prior to signing a licensing deal with South Pawl Records, Sonnet to Sleep recorded their self-titled EP with Matt Goldman at Glow in the Dark Studios and Matt Malpass at Marigolds and Monsters Studios both located in Atlanta, Ga. and released it independently selling over 1000 copies backed by over 250 shows before re-releasing their self-titled EP with South Pawl Records. They also covered " Come Undone" originally by Duran Duran along with an accompanying video, and have released a second EP independently entitled Angels Fall. Lakeland is the most populous city in Polk County, Florida, part of the Tampa Bay Area, located along Interstate 4 east of Tampa. Aaron Marsh
Aaron Marsh is an American musician and record producer from Lakeland, Florida. He first gained prominence as the lead singer, guitarist and pianist for the Florida-based indie rock band Copeland, who formed in 2000. Marsh has since gone on to numerous production projects, co-producing his own band's studio albums usually along with either Matt Goldman or Aaron Sprinkle. Marsh also has worked as a film composer in narrative film, as well as advertising. His credits include the 2013 film ''Worm'', the 2014 film ''A Bottle's Odyssey,'' and the 2018 film ''Shed.'' Mellotron
The Mellotron is an electro-mechanical musical instrument developed in Birmingham, England, in 1963. It is played by pressing its keys, each of which pushes a length of magnetic tape against a capstan, which pulls it across a playback head. As the key is released, the tape is retracted by a spring to its initial position. Different portions of the tape can be played to access different sounds. The Mellotron evolved from the similar Chamberlin, but could be mass-produced more efficiently. The first models were designed for the home and contained a variety of sounds, including automatic accompaniments. Bandleader Eric Robinson and television personality David Nixon helped promote the first instruments, and celebrities such as Princess Margaret were early adopters. Copeland is an American rock band formed in 2001 by the singer, pianist Aaron Marsh (who also plays guitar) with his friend, the bass guitarist and backing vocalist James Likeness, in Lakeland, Florida.
