''Songs from the South - Volume 2 (Paul Kelly 98–08)'' is the second greatest hits album by Australian singer-songwriter Paul Kelly. It was released on 10 November 2008 by the EMI label. In 1997, Paul Kelly released ''Songs from the South'', which featured hit songs from 1985 to 1997. ''Songs from the South - Volume 2'' comprises songs from Kelly's catalogue from 1998 to 2008 (including his solo albums such as '' Words and Music'', ''Nothing But a Dream'', '' Ways & Means'', and '' Stolen Apples''), as well as some from his collaborative efforts (such as '' Stardust Five'' and ''Professor Ratbaggy''). Paul Maurice Kelly (born 13 January 1955) is an Australian rock music singer-songwriter and guitarist. He has performed solo, and has led numerous groups, including the Dots, the Coloured Girls, and the Messengers. He has worked with other artists and groups, including associated projects Professor Ratbaggy and Stardust Five. Kelly's music style has ranged from Bluegrass music, bluegrass to studio-oriented dub music, dub reggae, but his core output straddles folk music, folk, rock and country music, country. His lyrics capture the vastness of the culture and landscape of Australia by chronicling life about him for over 30 years. ''So Much Water So Close to Home'' is an album by Australian rock band Paul Kelly and the Messengers and was originally released in August 1989. The title comes from a short story of the same name by author Raymond Carver. Carver died in August 1988. Kelly co-wrote the score for the 2006 Australian film ''Jindabyne'', which was also based on the same story. The entire album was recorded in the U.S. with producer Scott Litt, best known for his work with R.E.M. It was released on Mushroom/White Records in Australia & New Zealand and A&M Records for the rest of the world. The Museum of Contemporary Art Australia (MCA), located on George Street in Sydney's The Rocks neighbourhood, is solely dedicated to exhibiting, interpreting, and collecting contemporary art, from across Australia and around the world.
