''Son of Evil Reindeer'' is the second studio album by Scottish indie rock supergroup The Reindeer Section, released on 13 August 2002. It was recorded in February that year. An alternate version was released in Japan. It contained 3 bonus tracks. Gary Lightbody had finished writing the songs of the album by January 2002. In 2004, Snow Patrol recorded a live version of "You Are My Joy" at Somerset House on 8 August 2004 for their live DVD, ''Live at Somerset House''. This live rendition also appeared as a B-side on their "How to Be Dead" single and was later included on their 2009 compilation album ''Up to Now ''Up to Now'' is the first compilation album by alternative rock band Snow Patrol. The Reindeer Section
The Reindeer Section are a Scottish indie rock supergroup formed in 2001 by Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol, which released albums and gigged in 2001 and 2002. Lightbody describes the band's sound as "pretty much all very slow, quiet, folky-type stuff. Stuff that I really love listening to, like Low, for example, and Neil Young and Joni Mitchell and all that end of things. It's sort of inspired by those records rather than by the American rock music that inspired me to start a band in the first place." Live At Somerset House
''Live at Somerset House'' (also known as ''Mums & Dads of the World Be Patient With Your Children'') is a concert film by Snow Patrol. Recorded on 8 August 2004 at Somerset House on the band's featured stop in London, England, the video was released on 23 November 2004 on DVD. The film features the songs "One Night Is Not Enough", "An Olive Grove Facing The Sea" and "Black & Blue" from their 2001 album ''When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up'', "You Are My Joy" (by The Reindeer Section, a side project spearheaded by Gary Lightbody), and the B-Side "Post Punk Progression". The remaining tracks are from the band's hit 2004 album, ''Final Straw''. Also released was another edition of the DVD with bonus features. Gareth Russell is a Scottish musician, best known as the former bass guitarist for the indie rock band Idlewild (band), Idlewild. Russell joined the band in 2006, following the departure of Gavin Fox (musician), Gavin Fox, and recorded two studio albums with the band: ''Make Another World'' (2007) and ''Post Electric Blues'' (2009). Jonny Quinn
Jonathan Graham Quinn (born 26 February 1972) is a Northern Irish musician, best known as the drummer for alternative rock band Snow Patrol, and was previously a member of bands like The Mighty Fall, The New Brontes and Disraeli Gears. As drummer for Snow Patrol, he has played on all releases. He is married to industrial designer Mariane Quinn (née Røkke). Malcolm Middleton
Malcolm Bruce Middleton (born 31 December 1973) is a Scottish musician and member of indie band Arab Strap. He has also released seven solo studio albums and three albums performing under the pseudonym Human Don't Be Angry. Early life Middleton was born in Dumfries but raised in Falkirk, Scotland. He attended Graeme High School. He played bass, guitar and sometimes sang in several bands in the 1990s, including Purple Bass Plectrum, Rabid Lettuce, Pigtube and The Laughing Stock. Mark McClelland
Mark Peter McClelland (born 30 March 1976) is a Northern Irish musician known best as the former bass guitarist of the band Snow Patrol. McClelland is a recipient of the Ivor Novello Award for his work on the album ''Final Straw''. He is now the bassist for alternative act Little Doses. Career Mark McClelland was born on 30 March 1976, and attended Sullivan Upper School as a youngster. In 1994, he started attending the University of Dundee to study Financial economics. Richard Colburn
Richard Colburn (born 25 July 1970) is the drummer of the Scottish indie band Belle & Sebastian. Before he joined Belle & Sebastian, he used to sell pies on match days outside Celtic Park and studied Music Business at Stow College. William Campbell (Scottish Musician)
Astrid is a guitar-pop foursome formed in Glasgow in the mid-1990s, but with strong ties to Isle of Lewis in the Hebrides, Scotland. The group released three studio albums, as well as several singles and EPs, before breaking up in 2004. History Willie Campbell, Charles Clark and Gareth Russell were childhood friends who moved from the Isle of Lewis, off the West coast of Scotland, to Glasgow in the mid-1990s. Norman Blake (Scottish Musician)
Norman Blake (born 20 October 1965, Bellshill, North Lanarkshire, Scotland) is a Scottish singer, instrumentalist and songwriter in the Glasgow-based band Teenage Fanclub. Blake and Sean Dickson (The Soup Dragons) were in The Faith Healers together, which also contained various members at different times Stevie Gray, Hugh McLaughlin, Brian Carson and Colin Murray to name but a few. Blake was a member of the Glasgow group, The Pretty Flowers, with school friend Duglas T. Stewart, Frances McKee, Janice Cochrane and Sean Dickson. Iain Archer
Iain Archer is a writer, producer and solo artist from Bangor, Northern Ireland. He is a two-time Ivor Novello Award winner, winning the 2004 Album Award – ''Final Straw'' by Snow Patrol and Most Performed Work in 2016 for Grammy nominated " Hold Back the River", which he co-wrote with James Bay. ''Up to Now'' is the first compilation album by alternative rock band Snow Patrol. The album features tracks spanning Snow Patrol's fifteen-year music career, including tracks from The Reindeer Section, a side-project/ supergroup involving musicians from all over Scotland. The album was released in early November 2009, primarily as a two-disc set and a three-disc digipak format containing one DVD of bonus material. A limited edition heavyweight box was also sold. Three new songs were released on the album. One of these was " Just Say Yes", the lead single taken from the compilation. The solo re-recording of "An Olive Grove Facing the Sea" was released as the album's second single. In Netherlands, Belgium and Finland "Run" was re-released in a version called "Run (2010 Version)" in January 2010.
