Son Of Billy The Kid
''Son of Billy the Kid'' is a 1949 American Western film directed by Ray Taylor starring Lash LaRue. Produced by Ron Ormond, the film was co-written by Ormond's wife June Carr who also plays a lead role in the film. This film was not part of the 11-film ''Marshal Lash LaRue'' movie series, although it was made simultaneously with the series. Plot The film imagines Billy the Kid was not killed and successfully adopted another identity. Jack Garrett, no relation to Pat Garrett, interrupts a stagecoach holdup. He meets Fuzzy the town's stagecoach driver, station agent, baggage agent, Justice of the Peace, sheriff of the town and banker Jim Thorn. The trio team up to prevent robberies of Thorn's bank by Clem Yantis's large gang. Ray Taylor (director)
Raymond Edgar Taylor (1 December 1888 – 15 February 1952) was an American film director. He directed 159 films between 1926 in film, 1926 and 1949 in film, 1949. His List of directorial debuts, debut was the 1926 film serial ''Fighting with Buffalo Bill''. Ray Taylor was one of the few Hollywood directors who specialized in a single type of film: he was an action specialist. Many action directors would be called upon at one time or another to helm a mainstream drama, romance, or mystery, but Ray Taylor established himself early in westerns and action fare, and he worked in this capacity throughout his career. Even a brief tenure directing the campus-capers "Collegians" shorts for Universal Pictures, Universal was appropriate for Taylor, as these two-reel subjects often emphasized visual action. Terry Lawrence Frost (October 26, 1906 – March 1, 1993) was an American actor who appeared in dozens of Western films during the 1940s and 1950s. Biography Frost was born in Bemidji, Minnesota. Before he became an actor, he spent six years working as a cowboy, jack-of-all-trades, lumberjack, miner, and salesman across the United States. Frost began his entertainment career in vaudeville in 1929. In 1941, his film career began when he portrayed Sam Emery in ''Law of the Range''. Biography Turich was born in Hidalgo, Mexico, in 1898. He started his acting career in the 1920s, making his first appearance as an actor in the film, ''Mademoiselle Midnight'' in 1924.
