''Something Is Killing the Children'' is an ongoing comic book series created by James Tynion IV and Werther Dell'Edera, published monthly by Boom! Studios beginning in September 2019. Publication history ''Something Is Killing the Children'' was announced as a five-issue limited series by BOOM! Studios in June 2019. In August 2019, ahead of the release of its first issue, it was announced that the series had been promoted to ongoing due to "overwhelming early support from retailers and fans". Jantje Friese (born 1977) is a German film producer and screenwriter known for co-creating the Netflix series ''Dark'' (2017–2020) and ''1899'' (2022) with her creative and romantic partner Baran bo Odar. Work Jantje Friese studied production and media management at the University of Television and Film Munich. After graduating, she worked as a producer for Made in Munich Film Production and Neue Sentimental Film Berlin. In 2010 she was the production manager of the feature film ''The Silence'' with her partner Baran bo Odar. Baran bo Odar (born 18 April 1978) is a German film and television director and screenwriter. He is known for co-creating the Netflix series ''Dark'' (2017–2020) and '' 1899'' (2022) with his creative and romantic partner, Jantje Friese.
