The Solomon Islands national under-20 football team is the national U-20 team of the Solomon Islands and is controlled by the Solomon Islands Football Federation (SIFF) History The Solomon Islands national under-20 football team took part in the OFC U-20 Championship tournament 10 times (1994, 1998, 2001, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2022) and their best results were in 2005 and 2011 when the team reached the final, but unfortunately they lost against Australia and New Zealand respectively. Bonito
Bonitos are a tribe of medium-sized, ray-finned predatory fish in the family Scombridae – a family it shares with the mackerel, tuna, and Spanish mackerel tribes, and also the butterfly kingfish. FIFA U-20 World Cup
The FIFA U-20 World Cup is the biennial football world championship tournament for FIFA members’ men's national teams with players under the age of 20. The competition has been staged every two years since the inaugural tournament in 1977 when it was hosted by Tunisia, under the tournament name of FIFA World Youth Championship until 2005. In 2007 the name was changed to its present form. The current title holder is Ukraine which won its first title at the 2019 tournament in Poland. The Australia national under-20 soccer team, known colloquially as the Young Socceroos, represents Australia in international under-20 soccer. Solomon Islands
Solomon Islands is an island country consisting of six major islands and over 900 smaller islands in Oceania, to the east of Papua New Guinea and north-west of Vanuatu. 2022 OFC U-19 Championship
The 2022 OFC U-19 Championship was the 23rd edition of the OFC U-19/U-20 Championship, the biennial international youth football championship organised by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) for the men's under-19/under-20 national teams of Oceania. The OFC announced on 4 March 2022 that the 2021 OFC U-20 Championship (originally the 2020 OFC U-19 Championship), which would have been hosted by Samoa, had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Samoa would be retained to host the next edition in 2022. On 4 June 2021, the OFC announced the tournament had been moved to August from July.
