Sogn Og Fjordane (Storting Constituency)
Sogn og Fjordane () is one of the 19 multi-member constituencies of the Storting, the national legislature of Norway. The constituency was established in 1921 following the introduction of proportional representation for elections to the Storting. It consists of the municipalities of Årdal, Askvoll, Aurland, Bremanger, Fjaler, Gloppen, Gulen, Høyanger, Hyllestad, Kinn, Lærdal, Luster, Sogndal, Solund, Stad, Stryn, Sunnfjord and Vik in the county of Vestland. The constituency currently elects three of the 169 members of the Storting using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2021 parliamentary election it had 78,282 registered electors. Storting
The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen multi-seat constituencies. A member of Stortinget is known in Norwegian as a ''stortingsrepresentant'', literally "Storting representative". The assembly is led by a president and, since 2009, five vice presidents: the presidium. The members are allocated to twelve standing committees as well as four procedural committees. Stryn
Stryn is a municipality in the county of Vestland, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Nordfjord. The administrative center of the municipality is the village of Stryn. The municipality is located along the innermost part of the Nordfjorden. Some of the main villages in Stryn include Loen, Innvik, Utvik, Randabygda, Olden, and Flo. Farming, forestry, fruit growing, animal breeding for furs, small manufacturing industries, tourism, and the service trades provide the main occupations.
