The Society of Korean Poets Award(hangul : 한국시인협회상) is the oldest prize in Korean literature. The Society of Korean Poets reviews the annual collection of poems published and selects winners annually. Park Je-chun
Park Je-Chun (; 23 March 1945 – 10 June 2023) was a South Korean poet. Biography Park Je-chung was born in Seoul, Korea on 23 March 1945. Park graduated from Dongguk University in 1966 and immediately debuted as a poet in the Hyundai Munhak monthly. Park became a member of the literary coterie Poetic Thought in 1983 and in 1995 helped to found the magazine Literary Academy, for which he served as publisher and editor. He also taught at Kyonggi University and served as an official of the Korean Culture and Arts Foundation. Park Je-Chun died on 10 June 2023, at the age of 78. Lee Geunbae
Lee Geunbae (born 1 March 1940) is a South Korean sijo poet. He is known for his compositions on Korea's traditions and indigenous environments. He is one of the major contemporary sijo poets. In 2002, he was chosen as chairman of the Society of Korean Poets. He has served as the director of the Korean Headquarters of the International PEN. He is currently a creative writing professor at JEI University. Life Lee Geunbae was born on March 1, 1940, in Dangjin, Chungcheongnam-do. His pen name is Sacheon. Kim Hu-ran
Kim Hu-ran ( ko, 김후란) is a Korean poet. Life Also known as Hyeongdeok, the poet was born in Seoul on December 26, 1934. Her professional career has been in journalism; she served as a reporter then as editorial writer for various major newspapers. She left her studies at the Department of Home Economics at Seoul National University to hold posts as a reporter for The Hankook Ilbo, The Seoul Shinmun, and the cultural section of The Kyunghyang Shinmun. For a time she was head of the Korean Women's Development Institute and she is at present Vice-President of the Korean Center of International P.E.N. In 1954, she received an award in the National College Students' Literary Arts Concours, held by The Kyunghyang Shinmun and the Anti-Communism Alliance. Shin Dalja
Shin Dalja (born 1943) is a South Korean poet. Life Shin Dalja was born in 1943 in Geochang, Gyeongnam. She was born as the fifth daughter among one son and six daughters. Her adolescence was relatively stable under her businessman father, but her mother advised her that “women must also study”, which led her to go study in Busan during her high school years. When she was in her second year of high school, she won the Gyeongnam essay contest, which gave her the chance to go to Sookmyung Women's University for Korean Literature. She graduated in 1965. O Seyeong (, born 2 May 1942) is a South Korean poet, critic, educator, and professor at Seoul National University.
