The Social Liberals (Austria)
The Social Liberals (german: Die Sozialliberalen, SoL) is a minor social liberal political party in Austria. It has never won a legislative seat, seat in a elections in Austria, federal election. Formation The party was founded and its charter registered and deposited at the Federal Ministry of the Interior (Austria), Federal Ministry of the Interior, as required by Austrian law, on March 11, 2002. It has not yet contested any Austrian federal election. Alliances The debate about the party-programme began in earnest after the controversial 2002 Austria legislative election, 2002 parliamentary elections, which brought to power a centre-right government. The SoL regards itself as a left liberal or Left-wing politics, libertarian left party with social democratic leftist leanings. Social Liberal Party (The Netherlands)
Democrats 66 (; abbreviated D66, ) is a social liberal political party in the Netherlands, which positions itself in the centre of the political spectrum. It is a member of the Liberal International (LI) and the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). The name of the party refers to its year of foundation, 1966. Initially, its main objective had been to democratise the Dutch political system, but it developed a broader social liberal ideology over time. In the 1967 general election, the party won 7 out of 150 seats in the House of Representatives. No new party had ever gained that many seats before. The party was in government from 1973 to 1977, 1981 to 1982, 1994 to 2002, 2003 to 2006 and 2017 to 2021. It currently holds 24 seats in the House of Representatives, 7 seats in the Senate and 2 seats in the European Parliament. Social-liberal Coalition
Social–liberal coalition (german: Sozialliberale Koalition) in the politics of Germany refers to a governmental coalition formed by the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and the Free Democratic Party (FDP). The term stems from social democracy of the SPD and the liberalism of the FDP. Because of the colours traditionally used to symbolise the two parties (red for SPD and yellow for FDP), such a coalition is also referred to as a "red–yellow" coalition (''rot–gelbe Koalition''). The FDP is basically an economic/classical liberal party, but under the coalition, the FDP and the SPD are close to left-liberalism (''Linksliberalismus''). Social–liberal coalitions are currently rare, as the SPD usually governs with the Alliance '90/The Greens and the FDP orients itself towards long-term co-operation with the Christian Democratic Union and Bavarian Christian Social Union. The Social Liberal Party ( ar, الحزب الاجتماعي التحرري ; french: Parti social-libéral), abbreviated to PSL, is an opposition liberal political party in Tunisia. The party is a member of the Liberal International and the Africa Liberal Network. The party was founded in September 1988 under the name "Social Party for Progress" (french: Parti social pour le progrès), but was renamed in October 1993 to reflect its liberal ideology. At the 1999 election, it won election for the first time, winning its first two seats in the Chamber of Deputies. They retained these two seats at the 2004, when its candidate Mohamed Mouni Béji also won 0.8% at the presidential elections. Sociaal-Liberale Partij (; SLP; Dutch language, Dutch for Social Liberal Party) was a Belgium, Belgian Flanders, Flemish political party formed after dissolution of the moderate nationalist People's Union (Belgium), People's Union (''Volksunie'') party. Prior to 19 April 2008 it was known as Spirit, and intermediately as Flemish Progressives (VlaamsProgressieven). The party merged with Groen (political party), Groen in the end of 2009, ceasing to exist. Social Liberal Party (Moldova)
The Social Liberal Party (''Partidul Social Liberal'') was a liberal political party in Moldova, led by Oleg Serebrian. At the legislative elections, 6 March 2005, the party was part of the Electoral Bloc Democratic Moldova (''Blocul Electoral Moldova Democrată''), that won 28.4% of the popular vote and 34 out of 101 seats. Inside the Bloc the party won 3 seats. After the elections the bloc fell apart in three parliamentary groups of the constituent parties. In 2001 Oleg Serebrian released a manifest with the intention to found a social liberal party. This initiative was joined by the Christian Democratic League of Women and the National Youth League of Moldova. In 2002 the Party of Democratic Forces merged into the party. Since November 2006 the Social Liberal Party was a member of Liberal International. It merged into the Democratic Party of Moldova in February 2008.
