Efraim Sneh
Efraim Sneh ( he, אפרים סנה, born 19 September 1944) is an Israeli politician, physician, and a retired brigadier general in the Israel Defense Forces. He was a member of the Knesset for the Labor Party between 1992 and 2008 and served in several ministerial posts. He currently heads the Yisrael Hazaka party, which he established in May 2008. Life and career Born in Tel Aviv in 1944, Sneh is the son of Moshe Sneh, who was one of the heads of the Haganah. His father was elected to the first Knesset as a representative of Mapam, before defecting to Maki, the Israeli Communist Party. Sneh served in the Nahal infantry battalion from 1962 to 1964. He studied medicine at Tel Aviv University and specialized in internal medicine. Once he finished his studies he returned to military service as a battalion doctor, then as a brigade doctor for the Paratroopers Brigade. Moshe Sneh
Moshe Sneh ( he, מֹשֶׁה סְנֶה ; 6 January 1909 – 1 March 1972) was a Haganah commander and an Israeli politician. One of the founders of Mapam, he later joined the Israeli Communist Party (Maki). Biography Mosze Klaynboym (later Sneh) attended high school in Poland before studying natural sciences, mathematics and medicine at the University of Warsaw, gaining an MD in 1935. Whilst a student, he was a member of the ''Yardinia'' Zionist student organisation, becoming its chairman in 1926, and was also chairman of the Medical Jewish Students Union. He became the editor of the ''Nowe Słowo'' newspaper in 1931, and the political editor of ''Haynt'' in 1933. In 1932 he was elected to the central committee of the Zionist Federation of Poland, and was a leader of the radical Zionists. In 1935 he also became a member of the Zionist Executive Committee. Sneh Bhargava is an Indian radiologist, medical academic and a former director and Professor Emeritus of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Born in 1930, she is a former vice president and an elected Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India, one of the premier scientific societies in India. She has delivered several keynote addresses and has been part of medical ethics related investigations of the Medical Council of India. After superannuation from AIIMS, she works at Dharamshilla Nrayana Superspeciality hospital Mayur Vihar Phase 3, New Delhi. The Government of India awarded her the fourth highest civilian award of the Padma Shri, in 1991. Sneh Rana (born 18 February 1994) is an Indian cricketer, who currently plays for Railways and India as a right-arm off break bowler and right-handed batter. Early life and background Rana hails from Sinaula, on the outskirts of Dehradun. Her father was a farmer.
