Snefrid Aukland
Snefrid Erika Aukland (née Kjølstad, October 5, 1884 – January 14, 1977) was a Norwegian actress. Family Snefrid Aukland was the daughter of the orthopedist and lawyer Thorvald Nils Gotfrid Essendrop Kjølstad (1832–1910) and the actress Elly Kjølstad (1850–1930). She was the niece of the actress Mathilde Nielsen. She was married to the engineer Ernst Bernhard Aukland (1894–1969). She also performed under the names ''Erika Warnecke'' and ''Snefrid Warnecke''. Acting career Snefrid Aukland took part in the National Touring Theater ( no, Nationalturnéen), a troupe led by the theater manager Ludovica Levy, from 1907 to 1911. From 1913 to 1917, she worked at the Norwegian Theater. In 1917, she sailed on SS ''Bergensfjord'' to New York City to seek her fortune. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. Henrik Sørensen
Henrik Sørensen (12 February 1882 – 24 February 1962) was a Norwegian painter. Personal life Sørensen was born in Fryksände in Sweden as a son of Severin Sørensen and Helene Høibraaten. He was married to Gudrun Klewe, and is father of physicist Sven Oluf Sørensen. He was a brother-in-law of composer Halfdan Cleve. Painting career Sørensen studied drawing at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry in Kristiania in 1904 and from 1906 to 1908. He studied with Kristian Zahrtmann in Copenhagen from 1904 to 1905, and became fascinated by the French impressionists while studying at the art school Académie Colarossi in Paris during the autumn of 1905. He studied painting with Henri Matisse in Paris from 1908 to 1910. His breakthrough was the painting ''Svartbækken'' from 1908. The film is based on five stories by Hans Aanrud and the action is set in rural Norway. Trysil-Knut
''Trysil-Knut'' is a Norwegian film from 1942. Rasmus Breistein directed this skiing melodrama during the German occupation of Norway. It tells the story of the legendary skier Knut from Trysil, an ardent patriot at the beginning of the 1800s who uses his skiing skills to prevent war from breaking out between Norway and Sweden. Knut also wins back a property that he was cheated out of and his "princess." Like many of the films from the interwar period or the occupation years, this is an adventure story. Breistein's point of departure for the story was a popular novel by Rudolf Muus from 1914, and he was also inspired by Bernt Lund's poem from 1861 and by 's story from 1909. Siegfried Fischer
Fritz Adolf Ferdinand Siegfried Fischer (14 July 1894 – 8 April 1976) was a Swedish actor, theatre manager, playwright, screenwriter and writer. He was born in Stockholm, the son of conductor Franz Fischer. At seventeen years old he was hired by Axel Lindblad's theatre company. He was engaged at '' Blancheteatern'' 1919–1921 and then at the '' Casinoteatern'' until 1928, where he also worked as a director and playwright. He ran '' Klippans sommarteater'' and '' Söders friluftsteater'' for a while where he staged comedies he had written with his brother, actor Arthur Fischer. Bygdøy or Bygdø is a peninsula situated on the western side of Oslo, Norway. Administratively, Bygdøy belongs to the borough of Frogner; historically Bygdøy was part of Aker Municipality and became part of Oslo in 1948.
