''Snake Eyes on the Paradise Greatest Hits 1976–1989'' is a compilation album by rock music group, Dragon, released in 1998. This is the single disc version - there is also a two-disc version called '' Tales from the Dark Side Greatest Hits and Choice Collectables 1974–1997'', which has this disc plus a second disc of album tracks, live, b-sides and other rarities. The album charted at number 70 on the ARIA Charts. Reception Adrian Zupp from AllMusic said Dragon were "a hell of a good one when they put their minds to it", adding "in the studio... they crafted some great music. ''Snake Eyes on the Paradise'' captures the best of it. A 21-track set, this disc offers excellent coverage of the band's recording history and varying lineups while placing emphasis on their peak period from the 1970s and their renaissance in the early 1980s. Dragon (band)
Dragon are a New Zealand rock band which was formed in Auckland in January 1972, and, from 1975, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The band was originally fronted by singer Graeme Collins, but rose to fame with singer Marc Hunter and is currently led by his brother, bass player and vocalist Todd Hunter. The group performed, and released material, under the name Hunter in Europe and the United States during 1987. Keyboard player Paul Hewson wrote or co-wrote most of the group's 1970s hits: " April Sun in Cuba" peaked at No. 9 in New Zealand and No. 2 in Australia; " Are You Old Enough?" reached No. 6 in New Zealand and No. 1 in Australia in 1978; and " Still in Love with You" reached No. 35 and No. 27 in each country respectively that same year. Doane Ethredge Perry (born June 16, 1954) is an American musician, composer and author. From 1984 to 2011 he was drummer and percussionist with the band Jethro Tull and has also appeared on hundreds of recordings spanning multiple genres on records, film and television. Johanna Paton Pigott (born ca. 1955) is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter and screenwriter. Her best known hit songs are Dragon's "Rain" which peaked at No. 2 on the Australian Kent Music Report Singles Chart in 1983, Note: Used for Australian Singles and Albums charting until ARIA created their own charts in mid-1988. and John Farnham's "Age of Reason". Antonino Joseph Sciuto Jr. (born December 30, 1952) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer who has been active since 1965. He was a member of both Little River Band and Player. Sciuto has written songs for the Bay City Rollers, Nick Kamen, B. J. Thomas and Tina Turner amongst others. He has written soundtrack songs for several movies and scored a Top 10 hit in Japan.
