"Sleeping" is a song performed by English singer Rick Astley. It was written and produced by Chris Braide and Astley in 2001. The song was Astley's first single in almost eight years, released in Germany only. Its first UK appearance was on the 2002 ''Greatest Hits'' compilation. The song is also the first single from his fifth studio album, ''Keep It Turned On''. It reached the top 75 of the singles charts in Germany and Switzerland. Rick Astley
Richard Paul Astley (born 6 February 1966) is an English singer, songwriter and radio personality, who has been active in music for several decades. He gained worldwide fame in the 1980s, having multiple hits including his signature song "Never Gonna Give You Up", " Together Forever" and "Whenever You Need Somebody", and returned to music full-time in the 2000s after a 6-year hiatus. Outside his music career, Astley has occasionally worked as a radio DJ and a podcaster. Randy Jones (born September 13, 1952) is an American disco and pop singer and best known as the cowboy from Village People from 1977 to 1980, and again from 1987 until 1990. Early life Jones attended William G. Enloe High School in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated in 1970. Village People is an American disco group known for its on-stage costumes and suggestive lyrics in their music.
