Giacomo Gentilomo
Giacomo Gentilomo (5 April 1909 – 16 April 2001) was an Italian film director and painter. Biography Born in Trieste, at very young age Gentilomo moved to Rome, where at 21 years old he entered the cinema industry, working as a script survivor and an assistant director. Active between 1933 and 1937 as a film editor, in 1939 he debuted as a director with ''Il Carnevale di Venezia''. In 1945 his film ''O sole mio'' got critical acclaim, but later his career was mainly devoted to genre films, and failed to achieve significant critical interest. Dissatisfied with cinema, in the mid-1960s Gentilomo decided to abandon films and to fulfill his passion for painting. Hélène Chanel (born Hélène Stoliaroff; 12 June 1941 in Deauville, Calvados, France) is a French actress of Russian heritage. She was active in the 1960s in a variety of European international co-productions of sword and sandal, Eurospy and Spaghetti Westerns. She was credited with a variety of names such as Hélène Chancel, Helen Chanel, Sheryll Morgan, Helen Stoliaroff and Hélène Stoliaroff. Walter Lee Barnes (January 26, 1918 – January 6, 1998) was an American football guard and actor who played in National Football League (NFL) for four seasons. He played in the (NFL) for the Philadelphia Eagles and in college at Louisiana State University. Barnes was an actor in both American and European films. He appeared in several films with John Wayne, Lex Barker, and Clint Eastwood. Sports career Barnes earned his nickname of "Piggy" from catching a piglet when a boy. Playing football at Parkersburg High School, he was on the unbeaten 1938 team and played in the 1939 North-South Game. Vittorio Sanipoli (1915–1992) was an Italian stage, film and television actor. He appeared in around a hundred films and television series between 1942 and 1980. Life and career Born Luciano Sanipoli in Genoa, he made his acting debut in 1939 in the Roman Calò's stage company Society of Mystery Shows. Quite soon he was cast in leading roles in dramas, achieving popularity and critical appreciation after World War II for his performances in ''Detective Story'' and ''Anne of the Thousand Days'' (both represented in 1951) and winning a San Genesio Award in 1957, for his performance in Virginio Puecher's ''Il Revisore''. Domenico "Mimmo" Palmara (25 July 1928 – 10 June 2016) was an Italian actor. Biography Born in Cagliari, Palmara made his film debut in 1952 as a character actor in drama films by eminent directors such as Luchino Visconti, Mario Monicelli and Antonio Pietrangeli, then obtained main roles in a great number of genre films, especially adventure films and peplum films. When the sword and sandals genre declined, he took part at a number of Spaghetti Westerns in which he is usually credited as Dick Palmer. A close friend of Sergio Leone, he was Leone's first choice for the role of Ramon in ''A Fistful of Dollars''; Palmara eventually chose to star in Mario Caiano's '' Bullets Don't Argue'' and the role of Ramon was played by Gian Maria Volonté.
