Slash's Snakepit
Slash's Snakepit was an American rock supergroup from Los Angeles, California, formed by Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash in 1994. Though often described as a solo or side project, Slash stated that Snakepit was a band with equal contributions by all members. The first lineup of the band consisted of Slash, two of his Guns N' Roses bandmates—drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Gilby Clarke—as well as Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez and former Jellyfish live guitarist Eric Dover on lead vocals. Their debut album, ''It's Five O'Clock Somewhere'', was released in 1995. For the supporting tour, Slash enlisted James LoMenzo and Brian Tichy, of Pride & Glory, in place of Inez and Sorum, who had other commitments. They played shows in the US, Europe, Japan and Australia before Geffen Records pulled their financial support for the tour, with Slash returning to Guns N' Roses and Slash's Snakepit disbanding. Pride & Glory (band)
Pride & Glory was a side project formed by vocalist/guitarist Zakk Wylde (previously of Ozzy Osbourne) and White Lion members James LoMenzo and Greg D'Angelo. It was the first project for which Wylde also served as lead vocalist, prior to releasing his first solo-album, 1996's ''Book of Shadows''. Wylde subsequently formed the band Black Label Society in 1998, which remains active. Pride & Glory released one self-titled studio album before disbanding in 1994. They reunited for a one-off show in 1998. Use Your Illusion Tour
The Use Your Illusion Tour was a concert tour by American rock band Guns N' Roses which ran from January 20, 1991, to July 17, 1993. AC/DC
AC/DC (stylised as ACϟDC) are an Australian Rock music, rock band formed in Sydney in 1973 by Scottish-born brothers Malcolm Young, Malcolm and Angus Young. Their music has been variously described as hard rock, blues rock, and Heavy metal music, heavy metal, but the band calls it simply "rock and roll". ''It's Five O'Clock Somewhere'' is the debut studio album by American hard rock band Slash's Snakepit, released in February 1995. Supergroup (music)
A supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. The term became popular in the late 1960s when members of already successful rock groups recorded albums together, after which they normally disband. Charity supergroups, in which prominent musicians perform or record together in support of a particular cause, have been common since the 1980s. The term is most common context of rock and pop music, but it has occasionally been applied to other musical genres. Keri Kelli (born Kenneth Fear Jr.) is an American hard rock guitarist who has played with artists and groups including Alice Cooper, Slash, Jani Lane, Vince Neil and John Waite. Ryan Roxie (born Ryan Rosowicz, December 1, 1965) is an American guitarist, singer/songwriter best known as a solo artist and for playing guitar with Alice Cooper, Casablanca, Gilby Clarke, and Slash's Snakepit. Roxie is the primary founder of the System-12 Guitar Method and also hosts the weekly ''In the Trenches with Ryan Roxie'' podcast. Early Years Roxie was born in Sacramento, California and grew up in the East Bay in Pleasanton. Roxie's father, Polish, was a trumpet player and his mother was a drummer in her high school marching band. When he was about the age of five Roxie picked up the guitar but was more interested in drums. It wasn't until he was around eleven or twelve that he started taking guitar seriously. Matt Laug
Matt Laug (born March 17, 1968) is an American drummer who has played with many bands/artists such as Alanis Morissette, Alice Cooper, Slash's Snakepit and Vasco Rossi. Matt moved to Los Angeles after graduating from South Florence High School in 1986 and after attending college in LA, Matt became a sought after studio drummer. Along with a long list of many other rock artists, Matt played drums on Alanis Morissette's June 1995 album, ''Jagged Little Pill'', which sold over 16 million copies and was the number one album on the US Billboard 200 for the decade 1990-1999. He also played drums as a part of Steve Plunkett's reformed Autograph line-up from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, Matt Laug joined Mike Campbell of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in his side band known as The Dirty Knobs, and the band since has played occasional shows for the next 15 years in between Heartbreakers shows in Los Angeles.
