SkyTrain is the Medium-capacity rail system, medium-capacity rapid transit system in the Metro Vancouver Regional District, serving Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The Skytrain is an airside automated people mover system operating at Miami International Airport. It operates within the airport's Concourse D, which is a major international hub for American Airlines. The system, which opened in 2010 as part of an expansion of Concourse D, can transport passengers from end to end of the mile long concourse in five minutes. Skytrain Ice Rise () is a large, flattish, peninsula-like ice rise of about 50 miles extent, extending from the vicinity of Meyer Hills in the Heritage Range eastward into the Ronne Ice Shelf of Antarctica. It was mapped by United States Geological Survey (USGS) from surveys and USN air photos, 1961–66, and named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) after the LC-47 Douglas Skytrain airplane (also called R4D and Dakota), used extensively in the supply and placement of U.S. field personnel in Antarctica beginning with USN Operation Highjump, 1946–47, and continuing into the late 1960s. Barry Miles (born March 28, 1947) is an American pianist, record producer, and author. Life and career Miles was born Barry Miles Silverlight to Arthur and Hermine (née Klein) in Newark, New Jersey and grew up in North Plainfield, New Jersey. He joined the musicians union at age nine in 1956 as a child prodigy drummer/pianist/vibist appearing with Miles Davis and John Coltrane among other talents of the day live and on TV shows including '' To Tell the Truth'', Dick Van Dyke's variety show, and ''The Andy Williams Show''. He made his solo artist debut recording at age fourteen in 1961, "Miles Of Genius", as drummer and composer with sidemen Al Hall and Duke Jordan. The McDonnell Douglas C-9 was a military version of the McDonnell Douglas DC-9 airliner. It was produced as the C-9A Nightingale for the United States Air Force, and the C-9B Skytrain II for the United States Navy, U.S. Navy and United States Marine Corps, Marine Corps. The final flight of the C-9A Nightingale was in September 2005, and the C-9C was retired in September 2011. The U.S. Navy retired its last C-9B in July 2014. The H-Bahn (abbreviation for , German for 'hanging railway') in Dortmund and Düsseldorf (there known as "Sky train") is a driverless passenger suspension railway system. The system was developed by Siemens, who call the project SIPEM (SIemens PEople Mover). Two installations exist, one at the Dortmund university campus, the other at the Düsseldorf Airport. While Siemens is no longer actively marketing the system, and will no longer carry out turnkey projects, new installations are still possible in collaboration with the Dortmund operating company. The Soekarno–Hatta Airport Skytrain ( id, Kalayang Bandara Soekarno–Hatta) is a driverless 3.05 kilometre Automated People Mover System (APMS) which connects Soekarno-Hatta Airport Terminals 1, 2, 3 and SHIA railway station, free of charge. Trains are spaced 5 minutes apart, with 7 minutes needed to get from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3. Changi Airport Skytrain
The Changi Airport Skytrain is an automated people mover (APM) that connects Terminals 1, 2 and 3 at Singapore Changi Airport. Opened in 1990, it was the first driverless and automated system of its kind in South East Asia. The Changi Airport Skytrain operates from 05:00 to 02:30 daily. Traveling on the Skytrain is free and an inter-terminal journey takes approximately four minutes.
