''Sky'' () was a Malaysian-made Mandarin drama series, produced by and aired on 8TV, which combined newly discovered celebrities, particularly from the station's reality programmes '' Malaysian Idol'', '' Project Superstar Malaysia'' and ''I Wanna Be A Model'', namely Hoon Mei Sim, Johnson Wee Johnson is a surname of Anglo-Norman origin meaning "Son of John". It is the second most common in the United States and 154th most common in the world. Hoon Mei Sim
A hoon is an Australian term describing a person who deliberately drives a vehicle in a reckless or dangerous manner, generally in order to provoke a reaction from onlookers. Hoon activities (or hooning) can include speeding, burnouts, doughnuts, or screeching tyres. Those commonly identified as being involved in hooning are young and predominantly male drivers in the age range of 17 to 25 years. Hoon control laws are beginning to be extended to dangerous hoon behaviour using boats and other vessels, particularly jet skis. Gary Yap (; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Ya̍p Tsun-tshìm''; born 15 January 1977) is a Malaysian television personality and a host on Star Search talent quest. Career Gary Yap was schoolmates with fellow Star Search contestant and actor Zhang Yaodong. Yap went to Singapore in 2001 to pioneer his career as an interpreter. He represented Malaysia while participating in the finals of "Star Search", a television program hosted by the New Media Results Malaysia Male Champions' Trophy. ''Malaysian Idol'' is the Malaysian version of the Idol Series that started in UK, similar to shows such as UK's ''Pop Idol'' and ''American Idol'' in the franchise. This show is a contest to determine the best young singer in Malaysia, with the winner receiving a major record deal, although some runners-up have achieved enough fame to ink record deals of their own. Like any other ''Idol'' show, the winner is decided by public votes. ''Project SuperStar'' (SuperStar) is the Malaysian version of Singapore's successful reality format of the same title. To date, three seasons have been completed on 8TV. Format Preliminary auditions are held in various cities in Malaysia in search of Chinese-singing talents. There are three sub-stages in the auditions, the first two of which involve two rungs of closed-door tests, followed by the final rung in which participants are exposed to the crowd (usually in a shopping centre) and judged in front of them, and only 24 of them — 12 male and 12 female, would qualify for the actual competition.
