Sky (Canadian Band)
Sky was a Canadian R&B-influenced pop rock group from Montreal, Quebec. The duo originally consisted of James Renald (1971 - 2018) and Antoine Sicotte (1972 - ), son of actor Gilbert Sicotte. Both were songwriters, producers and multi-instrumentalists, who met in 1992 at a music engineering school in Montreal. Anastasia (2000–2003) replaced James as the lead singer after he left, and Karl Wolf (2003–2005) was the last lead singer of the group. History ;Phase I Their first EP was released on their own Phat Royale label in 1997. Managed by Lee Brown, both members co-wrote, co-produced and co-played every instrument on that record. Quebec radio stations began playing their music and eventually 43 stations in that province had added their songs to their playlists. Canada's MusiquePlus, the French equivalent to English-language MuchMusic, began playing the video for their song "America". Piece Of Paradise
''Piece of Paradise'' is a pop rock album released by the Canadian band Sky on Feb. 2, 1999 in Canada. Its original Canadian release was slated for October 1998 before EMI Music Canada pushed it into the next year to avoid the Christmas rush. The album was later released in various other versions in North America and elsewhere. The U.S. version, released on June 29, 1999 by Arista Records with an alternate blue cover, removes tracks "Powder" and "Last Time I Saw You" from the original version. It also adds two new tracks, "Dreamin'" and "Strange." A second Canadian version was issued in 1999 which included all 12 tracks from both versions, with "Strange" and "Dreamin'" added as the final two songs. This is the version widely available on streaming platforms. Camera shyness is the desire to avoid being photographed or filmed. It is common for individuals who are camera-shy to fear public speaking, performing in front of an audience, and having one's picture taken by any type of camera or by video camera. MuchMusic Video Awards
The iHeartRadio MMVAs were an annual awards show broadcast on Much to honour the year's best music videos that was last held in 2018. Originally debuting in 1990 as the Canadian Music Video Awards, the awards were renamed in 1995 to the MuchMusic Video Awards, reflecting the original (1984–2013) "MuchMusic" name of the Much channel. In 2016, the show was rebranded under the iHeartRadio banner after Much's parent company, Bell Media, reached a licensing agreement with iHeartMedia. In 2018, the show's full name was officially dropped.
