Skold Vs. KMFDM
''Skold vs. KMFDM'' is a full-length album featuring Sascha Konietzko of KMFDM and Tim Sköld. The album consists of two versions of 11 different songs — each appearing as the original version and a shorter "interlude" version. The album was released on February 24, 2009 on KMFDM Records exclusively through the band's KMFDM Store. It has since been made available for download elsewhere. The artwork for the album's cover was created by artist Kevin Marburg, formerly of the bands Diatribe (band), Diatribe and Tim Sköld, SKOLD. KMFDM (originally Kein Mehrheit Für Die Mitleid, loosely translated by the band as "no pity for the majority") is a multinational industrial band from Hamburg led by Sascha Konietzko, who founded the band in 1984 as a performance art project. The band's earliest incarnation included German drummer En Esch and British vocalist Raymond Watts, the latter of whom left and rejoined the group several times over its history. The trio recorded the band's earliest albums in Germany before Konietzko and Esch moved to the United States, where they found much greater success with seminal industrial record label Wax Trax!. German guitarist Günter Schulz joined in 1990; both he and Esch continued with the band until KMFDM broke up in 1999. Konietzko resurrected KMFDM in 2002 (Esch and Schulz declined to rejoin) on Metropolis Records, and by 2005 he had assembled a consistent line-up that included American singer Lucia Cifarelli, British guitarists Jules Hodgson and Steve White, and British ... Tim Sköld
Tim Skold (born Thim Sköld) is a Swedish musician and record producer who produces solo work and has also collaborated with multiple musical groups including Shotgun Messiah, KMFDM, Marilyn Manson and Motionless in White. Biography Early life Skold grew up in Timmersdala, 21 kilometres northwest of Skövde. He has a sister named Linda. Skold grew up in a very liberal setting as the son of a 15-year-old mother named Åse and a father trying to get by as a semi-professional drummer. At age 11, Skold joined a playback band (where the band mimes over recorded material). Skold's band would play for people at school meetings with Kiss, Bowie and Sweet songs playing on a cassette player. Skold first rented a bass guitar at age 12, and by the time he was 13, he was playing and singing in his first real band. Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. Sascha Konietzko
Sascha Kegel Konietzko (born 21 June 1961), also known as Sascha K and Käpt'n K, is a German musician and record producer. He is the founder, frontman and "anchor" of the industrial band KMFDM. Konietzko jokingly purports himself to be the father of industrial rock. ''Keyboard Magazine'' wrote of him, "You won't find a more imaginative or effective keyboardist on the hard-core scene." KMFDM Konietzko is best known for his role as frontman of KMFDM. Having founded the group as a performance art project in 1984, he is the only member of KMFDM to appear on every release, and the only founding member still in the band. His main instruments are keyboards and drums, although he is also proficient at playing guitar and bass guitar. Diatribe was an industrial rock group from San Jose, California active in the 1990s. They had a sound similar to 16 Volt and Chemlab, integrating synthesizers and vocal samples with more traditional rock instruments. The band's full-length debut ''Diatribe'' was released by Cargo Music and Re-Constriction Records on November 3, 1996. History Diatribe was formed in San Jose, California, by vocalist/keyboardist Marc Jameson, bassist Kevin Marburg and guitarists Vince Montalbano and Pat Toves. They recorded " Cockeyed Motherfucker" in 1990 and released the song on two various artists compilations, ''A Reason for Living'' by Santa Cruz Skateboards and ''From the Machine'' by Index Productions.
