The men's skeleton event at the 2018 Winter Olympics took place on 15 and 16 February at the Alpensia Sliding Centre near Pyeongchang, South Korea. Alpensia Sliding Centre
The Olympic Sliding Centre (올림픽 슬라이딩 센터) is a bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track that is located in Daegwallyeong, Pyeongchang, South Korea. The centre is located between the Alpensia and Yongpyong Resort. The venue is one of only two operating sliding facilities in Asia, along with the Spiral in Japan. It was renamed from Alpensia Sliding Centre to Olympic Sliding Centre in June 2017. His best Skeleton World Cup finish was 3rd at Königssee He won silver at the world championship 2016 in Igls (Team). 2018-2022 he was coach of Martins and Tomass Dukurs and Janine Flock. John Daly (skeleton Racer)
John Daly (born June 10, 1985) is an American skeleton racer who has competed since 2001. He has been on the World Cup podium many times, at such tracks as Winterberg, Calgary, and St. Moritz. Career Prior to competing in skeleton, Daly was a BMX racer but stopped after breaking both wrists during a practice run. He also competed in track and field while in high school and college. Daly began competing in the sport of skeleton in 2001. From 2001 to 2010, he won gold in the Intercontinental Cup and America's Cup where he reset the Lake Placid track record. In the 2008–09 season, Daly won 1st in the St. Moritz Europa Cup as well as the Igls Europa Cup and went on to get 2nd place for the overall Europa Cup title. Matthew Antoine
Matthew Antoine (born April 2, 1985) is an American skeleton racer who has competed since 2003. Antoine graduated from the California University of Pennsylvania in 2009 with a degree in sports management, wellness and fitness. Antoine won gold in the mixed team event at the FIBT World Championships 2012 in Lake Placid, New York. His best World Cup race finish was first at Lake Placid in December 2013. He ranked third overall in the 2013–14 Skeleton World Cup.
