Skateboarding arrived in China in April 1986 when an American skateboarder arrived in China to study Chinese at the Beijing Language Institute. He says, "When I arrived in China, there wasn't even a word in Chinese for skateboard. Fangzhuang
Fangzhuang Subdistrict () is a subdistrict and residential area in northern Fengtai District. It is bounded to the north and south by the 2nd and 3rd Ring Roads, and to the west and east by Tiantan Dong Lu and Fangzhuang Dong Lu. As of 2020, it has a population of 74,999. The subdistrict got its current name Fangzhuang () due to its historical origin as an estate of Fang family. History In 1951, three villages of this area (Puzhuang, Huangtuken and Yushu) merged to form the Puhuangyu Township. In 1958, it was incorporated into People's Commune of Nanyuan as Puhuangyu Production Team. Farmers left the region in 1984 as new residential areas were being constructed. Imre Szeman
Imre Szeman (born 26 July 1968) is a Canadian cultural theorist, professor, and public intellectual. He is Director of the Institute for Environment, Conservation, and Sustainability and Professor of Human Geography at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Szeman was previously University Research Chair of Environmental Communication at the University of Waterloo (2017-2022), Canada Research Chair of Cultural Studies at the University of Alberta (2009-2016), and Senator William McMaster Chair in Globalization and Cultural Studies at McMaster University. Zero Skateboards is a skateboard company located in Carlsbad, California, United States. The brand was founded by professional skateboarder and entrepreneur Jamie Thomas, and distributed by his Black Box Distribution company. Daxing District () is a district of Beijing, covering the southern suburbs of the city. Chaoyang District, Beijing
Chaoyang District () is a core district of Beijing. It borders the districts of Shunyi to the northeast, Tongzhou to the east and southeast, Daxing to the south, Fengtai to the southwest, Dongcheng, Xicheng and Haidian to the west, and Changping to the northwest.
