History The band was formed in 2008 by members Benjamin Jennebo, Per Bergquist, Isak Snow, Viktor Vidlund and Chris Adam Hedman Sörbye. They released their first single, "Fading" in 2009, the song peaked number 33 in the Swedish singles chart. In 2012 they signed a contract with Gain Music Entertainment which is a part of Sony Music Entertainment. A few months later, during the "Bandit Rock Awards" they receive the award for "Band Revelation of the Year". Joy Deb
Joy Neil Mitro Deb, (born 14 January 1979) is a Swedish songwriter and producer. He has worked with artists such as Fifth Harmony, JoJo, MiC Lowry and Akon. Currently, Deb is signed to Northbound Music Publishing in Stockholm, where he is a member of the production team “The Family” together with Linnea Deb and Anton Hård af Segerstad. Earlier (2013–2016) the group was signed to BMG Publishing. Joy studied at the well-known school ‘The Writers Academy of Sweden’. Early life Deb was born to an Indian father and a Finnish mother. Melodifestivalen Joy Deb has done several successful contribution in the annual Swedish song contest ‘ Melodifestivalen’. Melodifestivalen 2023 was the 63rd edition of the Swedish music competition Melodifestivalen, which was organised by Sveriges Television (SVT) and took place over a six-week period between 4 February and 11 March 2023. The winner of the competition was Loreen with the song " Tattoo", who went on to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 for . All shows were hosted by Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl. Format After the cancellation of the traditional tour around six cities of the country (namely Malmö, Gothenburg, Linköping, Lidköping, Örnsköldsvik and Stockholm) for the previous edition due to the COVID-19 Omicron variant, SVT subsequently announced that the six cities would host the tour in 2023 instead, with new dates. As usual, a total of 28 entries took part in the competition, 12 of which progressed to the final. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list.
