''Sirens and Condolences'' is the debut studio album by American punk rock band Bayside. The album was the only one not entirely credited to Bayside as a band. The music and melodies were written by frontman Anthony Raneri, while the lyrics were written by bassist Andrew Elderbaum. The same process was used on their split CD with Name Taken. Elderbaum, along with drummer Jim Mitchell, left the band shortly after the album's release. Background Due to exposure from publications as '' Alternative Press'' and ''Skratch'', the group signed to independent label Victory Records on May 15, 2003. In July and August 2003, the band toured across the US, with Glasseater, Celebrity, and My Hotel Year. The band recorded their debut album in October 2003. The Juliana Theory
The Juliana Theory is an American Rock music, rock duo from Greensburg, Pennsylvania, Greensburg and Latrobe, Pennsylvania, Latrobe, Pennsylvania, United States. They signed to Tooth & Nail Records, and later to Epic Records for the release of the album ''Love''. They released four studio albums before disbanding in 2006. The Black Maria was a Canadian rock band from Toronto, named after the notorious vans used by police to transport prisoners in the early 20th century (most often referred to as a paddywagon). The Sleeping was an American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York, United States, formed in 2003. The band was founded by Cameron Keym, Sal Mignano, and Joe Zizzo from the remains of Skycamefalling. After auditioning twenty-two potential singers, they came across Doug Robinson, former singer/guitarist of the band Stillwelle. The Fest
The Fest is an annual music festival in Gainesville, Florida, United States, organized by Tony Weinbender, formerly of No Idea Records. It is a predominantly punk rock and pop-punk festival, though there are also a good number of indie rock, hardcore punk, metal, and ska acts. The Fest takes place each year on the weekend of the Florida–Georgia football game (around Halloween) held in Jacksonville. Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), and Chris Popadak (drums, percussion). Catch 22 is an American ska punk band from East Brunswick Township, New Jersey. The band was formed in 1996 by guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Tomas Kalnoky, who left the band in 1998 and later formed Streetlight Manifesto. Founding members still in the band are vocalist/saxophonist Ryan Eldred, trumpeter Kevin Gunther and drummer Chris Greer. While largely inactive since 2012, the band performed at a spate of shows in 2015. The Academy Is
The Academy Is... is an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois, formed in 2003. Before disbanding, they were signed by the Decaydance imprint of the Fueled by Ramen label. They were originally known as "The Academy", but added the "Is..." in 2004 to avoid legal complications with other established bands already under that name.
