Simone Rose
Simone Rose (born July 9, 2008) is an American artistic gymnast. She is a member of the United State national gymnastics team and is the 2024 Pacific Rim team, uneven bars, and floor exercise champion. Early life Rose was born in Bellevue, Washington in 2008 to Jen and Michael Rose. She began gymnastics in 2010. Junior gymnastics career Rose competed at the 2022 Winter Cup where she placed fifth in the all-around. In July she competed at the U.S. Classic where she finished third on the uneven bars and balance beam. The following month Rose competed at the National Championships fifteenth and eighth on the uneven bars and balance beam respectively. Rose competed at the 2023 Winter Cup where she finished seventh in the all-around. She next competed at the 2023 Core Hydration Classic where she finished ninth in the all-around. Gymnastics Floor
In gymnastics, the floor is a specially prepared exercise surface, which is considered an apparatus. It is used by both male and female gymnasts. The gymnastics event performed on the floor is called floor exercise. The English abbreviation for the event in gymnastics scoring is FX. A spring floor is used in all of gymnastics to provide more bounce, and also help prevent potential injuries to lower extremity joints of gymnasts due to the nature of the apparatus, which includes the repeated pounding required to train it. Cheerleading also uses spring floors for practice. The sprung floor used for indoor athletics, however, is designed to reduce bounce. Gymnastics Balance Beam
The balance beam is a rectangular artistic gymnastics apparatus and an event performed using the apparatus. Both the apparatus and the event are sometimes simply referred to as "beam". The 2024 United States Olympic gymnastics team trials were the United States Olympic trials (gymnastics), Olympic gymnastics team trials held June 27–30, 2024 at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
