The gens Silvia was a minor plebeian family at ancient Rome. According to legend, the Silvii were the royal dynasty of Alba Longa, Rome's mother city, and presumably came to Rome when that city was destroyed by Tullus Hostilius in the seventh century BC. Notwithstanding their connection with Rome's foundation myths, the Silvii were plebeians, and hardly any members of this gens played a significant role in history. The 1964 Pacific hurricane season was the least active Pacific hurricane season on record since 1953. The season officially started on May 15 in the eastern Pacific and June 1 in the Central Pacific Hurricane Center's area of responsibility and lasted until November 30 in both regions. These dates conventionally delimit the period of each year when most tropical cyclones form in the northeastern Pacific Ocean. During this season only six tropical storms developed, of which two intensified into hurricanes. Of the two hurricanes, one reached Category 2 intensity of the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. The Duroch Islands () are a group of islands and rocks which extend over an area of about , centred about off Cape Legoupil on the north coast of Trinity Peninsula, Antarctica. The islands are close to Chile's Base General Bernardo O'Higgins Riquelme at Cape Legoupil. Location The Duroch Islands lie off the Schmidt Peninsula at the east end of Huon Bay on the north shore of Trinity Peninsula, which itself is the tip of the Antarctic Peninsula. They are in the Bransfield Strait. The Mott Snowfield is to the east and the Laclavère Plateau to the south. The main features are Kopaitic Island, Largo Island and the Wisconsin Islands.
