Silt
Silt is granular material of a size between sand and clay and composed mostly of broken grains of quartz. Silt may occur as a soil (often mixed with sand or clay) or as sediment mixed in suspension with water. Silt usually has a floury feel when dry, and lacks plasticity when wet. Silt also can be felt by the tongue as granular when placed on the front teeth (even when mixed with clay particles). Silt is a common material, making up 45% of average modern mud. It is found in many river deltas and as wind-deposited accumulations, particularly in central Asia, north China, and North America. It is produced in both very hot climates (through such processes as collisions of quartz grains in dust storms) and very cold climates (through such processes as glacial grinding of quartz grains.) Silt, Colorado
Silt is a Statutory Town in Garfield County, Colorado, United States. The population was 3,536 at the 2020 census, up from 2,930 at the 2010 census. A post office called "Silt" has been in operation since 1898. The community was named for the silt deposits at the original town site. Geography Silt is located at (39.546316, -107.652072), on the north side of the Colorado River about west of Denver. Interstate 70 passes through the town as it follows the river, with access from Exit 97. Glenwood Springs, the county seat, is to the east, and Rifle is to the west. U.S. Route 6 is Main Street in Silt, and provides a local route parallel to I-70. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of , of which , or 1.46%, is water. ''Silt'' is the debut album by Mistle Thrush, a Boston, Massachusetts-based band. It was released in 1995 on CD by Bedazzled (catalog #BDZ26). The previous year, the band released a five-song EP titled ''Agus Amà rach''. The band didn't release another full-length album until 1997's ''Super Refraction''. Silt is a surreal underwater puzzle-adventure indie horror game developed by ''Spiral Circus'' and published by Fireshine Games for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, in which the player controls a deep-sea diver who can possess the diverse marine life that enters their vicinity. It was released on June 1, 2022. Gameplay The player begins their exploration of the two-dimensional, black-and-white oceanic environment chained up for unknown reasons. From the start, they will encounter different types of fish with varying abilities which can be used to traverse levels of increasing difficulty, including piranhas which can bite through restraints, or hammerhead sharks who can smash obstacles preventing progression.
