Sid Fogg's is an Australian bus and coach charter company based in Fullerton Cove in the Hunter Region of New South Wales. History The origins of Sid Fogg's can be traced to the 1920s when Amos Fogg founded Fogg's Motor Service. In the 1950s ownership of the Stockton and Nelson Bay operations passed to Amos' brother Sid. In the mid-1980s Sid Fogg's purchased Bulahdelah Bus Co. Following deregulation of coach operations in New South Wales, Sid Fogg started services from Newcastle to Dubbo, Mudgee in July 1988, Canberra in November 1988 and Bathurst via Parramatta in March 1989 as well as Forster to Sydney. By February 1990 the Bathurst service had ceased. The Canberra service was still being operated in January 1993 but later ceased. Fullerton Cove, New South Wales
Fullerton Cove is a rural suburb of the Port Stephens local government area in the Hunter Region of New South Wales, Australia, located just north of Fern Bay and adjacent to Fullerton Cove, from which the suburb gets its name. The Worimi people are the traditional owners of the Port Stephens area. At the 2021 Australian census the population of Fullerton Cove was 745. Like Fern Bay, Fullerton Cove lies to the west of the Tasman Sea. Although the entire coastline is part of Stockton Beach there is no public access to the beach from Fullerton Cove. The only access in the suburb is via a private track, which is off-limits to the public, in a large sand mining development at the end of Coxs Lane. Australian Pacific Touring (APT) is an Australian tour and river cruising operator with worldwide reach. History Alfred William (Bill) McGeary was born in 1900 in Victoria. A fitter and turner by trade, McGeary bought, re-built and sold cars and motorcycles. After moving to the country, McGeary worked as foreman for Queen's Bridge Motors, a Warracknabeal garage. Cobb & Co was the name used by many successful sometimes quite independent Australian coaching businesses. The first was established in 1853 by American Freeman Cobb and his partners. The name Cobb & Co grew to great prominence in the late 19th century, when it was carried by many stagecoaches carrying passengers and mail to various Australian goldfields, and later to many regional and remote areas of the Australian outback. The same name was used in New Zealand and Freeman Cobb used it in South Africa. Although the Queensland branch of the company made an effort to transition to automobiles in the early 20th century, high overhead costs and the growth of alternative transport options for mail, including rail and air, saw the final demise of Cobb & Co. Stroud is a small country town one hour north of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Mid-Coast Council local government area. The major road through Stroud is the Bucketts Way.
