A shopping mall (or simply mall) is a North American term for a large indoor shopping center, usually anchored by department stores. The Esplanade is a shopping and entertainment complex on Ratchadaphisek Road in Din Daeng district, Bangkok, with a second branch on Rattanathibet Road in Nonthaburi. History Anchored by the Esplanade Cineplex, the shopping mall opened in December 2006. The cineplex hosted the 5th World Film Festival of Bangkok in October 2007.
