Si Hayden
Si Hayden is an English musician-composer and long time guitarist of 70's electric violin veteran Joe O'Donnell of East Of Eden, Headstone and Rory Gallagher fame. He has released over 50 albums of largely original material, featured on multiple guitar compilations with the likes of Alex De Grassi, Guns N' Roses guitarist Bumblefoot and Will Ackerman. He has recorded as a guest musician on over 100 releases. On the release of his 2011 solo guitar album ''Supercharger'', Guitarist Magazine described him as 'an acoustic virtuoso'. Career Hayden has performed and recorded with artists such as John Etheridge, Gilad Atzmon as guitarist in the 'Atzmob', Clive Carroll and Soweto Kinch. Other groups have included The Morley Hayden Haines trio who performed at The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival in 2009 and BBC1 television appearances with Rob Halligan. Soweto Kinch
Soweto Kinch (born 10 January 1978) is a British jazz alto saxophonist and rapper. Biography Born in 1978 in London, England, to a Barbadian father, playwright Don Kinch, and British-Jamaican actress Yvette Harris, Soweto Kinch began playing saxophone at the age of nine after learning clarinet at Allfarthing Primary School, Wandsworth, SW London. He then moved to Birmingham, where he attended West House Primary School in Edgbaston, beginning a long association with Britain's second city. After meeting Wynton Marsalis four years later, he discovered and became passionate about jazz, first concentrating on piano and later in his teens switching to alto saxophone as his main instrument. Fingerstyle Guitarists
Fingerstyle guitar is the technique of playing the guitar or bass guitar by plucking the strings directly with the fingertips, fingernails, or picks attached to fingers, as opposed to flatpicking (plucking individual notes with a single plectrum, commonly called a "pick"). The term "fingerstyle" is something of a misnomer, since it is present in several different genres and styles of music—but mostly, because it involves a completely different technique, not just a "style" of playing, especially for the guitarist's picking/plucking hand. The term is often used synonymously with fingerpicking except in classical guitar circles, although fingerpicking can also refer to a specific tradition of folk, blues and country guitar playing in the US. Manjinder Virk is a British actress, director and writer. John Etheridge
John Michael Glyn Etheridge (born 12 January 1948) is an English jazz fusion guitarist, composer, bandleader and educator known for his eclecticism and broad range of associations in jazz, classical, and contemporary music. He is best known for his work with Soft Machine from 1975 to 1978, 1984 and 2004 to present. Biography Early life Etheridge began playing at 13, his early influences being Hank Marvin of The Shadows and Django Reinhardt. Although his father was a jazz pianist, he was primarily self-taught. In the mid 1960s he formed his first notable band, Rush Release, with Robert Lipson (the future drummer of Gracious!).
