Shout It Out (Elli Erl Album)
''Shout It Out'' is the debut studio album by German recording artist Elli Erl. It was released by BMG in association with 19 Recordings and Hansa Records on October 4, 2004 in German-speaking Europe, following her participation in the second season of ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'', which she won. While she was offered to record a full album with ''DSDS'' judge and producer Dieter Bohlen, Erl declined in favor of different collaborators, citing his pop sound and lyrical approach. Instead, musician Frabo was consulted to work on the majority of pop rock–driven ''Shout It Out'', along with songwriters Rea Garvey, Guy Chambers, and Erl herself. The album received mixed reviews from critics, with laut.de praising Erl's vocals and the laid-back attitude of the album but criticizing the overall production of the songs. Elli Erl
Elisabeth Maria Erl (born 25 May 1979) is a German singer-songwriter. She came to fame as the winner of the second season of the television show ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'', the German ''Idol'' series adaptation. With ''DSDS'', Erl appeared on the collaborative top ten single "Believe in Miracles", while her coronation song and debut single " This Is My Life" peaked at number three on the German Singles Chart and reached the top ten in Austria. Erl's pop rock–influenced debut studio album, ''Shout It Out'' (2003), reached the top forty of the German Albums Chart but was significantly less successful than previous ''DSDS'' releases. Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) was a division of a German media company Bertelsmann before its completion of sale of the majority of its assets to Sony Corporation of America on 1 October 2008. Guy Antony Chambers (born 12 January 1963) is an English songwriter, musician and record producer, best known for his work with Robbie Williams. Education Chambers attended Quarry Bank Comprehensive School sixth form in Liverpool. From 18, he studied composition and piano at the Guildhall School of Music, London. Raymond Michael Garvey (born 3 May 1973) is an Irish singer, songwriter and guitarist now residing in Germany. In 1998, he formed the band Reamonn. Over the 11 years that Garvey was their frontman, they saw chart-topping success in Europe, with a number of gold and platinum selling albums, Tuesday (album), Tuesday, Dream No. 7, Beautiful Sky, Wish (Reamonn album), Wish and Eleven (Reamonn album), Eleven and several sold out European tours. ''Deutschland sucht den Superstar'' (''DSDS''; "Germany is looking for the Superstar") is a German reality talent show. Part of the ''Idol'' franchise, it was created by British media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show ''Pop Idol'', of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in November 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television.
