Shortparis
Shortparis is a Russian pop group formed in Saint Petersburg in 2012. History Nikolai Komyagin, Alexander Ionin, and Pavel Lesnikov met in their hometown, Novokuznetsk, and formed Shortparis in 2012 upon moving to Saint Petersburg. They were later joined by St. Petersburg natives Danila Kholodkov and Alexander Galyanov. In 2013, Shortparis released their debut album ''Docheri'' (), with songs in English and French. In 2017, they released the album ''Paskha'' (). In contrast to their previous album, all of the songs on ''Paskha'' are in Russian. In 2019, Shortparis released their third album, ''Tak zakalyalas' stal'' (). In September 2020, Shortparis released the single "KoKoKo / Struktury ne vykhodyat na ulitsy" () and an accompanying music video. The title of the track refers to a piece of graffiti from the 1968 Paris riots. Elektroforez
''Elektroforez'' () is a Russian synth-pop group, founded in Saint Petersburg in 2012 by Ivan Kurochkin and Vitaly Talyzin. Career In 2013, the American band Xiu Xiu released an official remix of the song "Eshafot" (). Elektroforez performed twice at the 10th edition of Manifesta, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art, held in Saint Petersburg. In 2014, Afisha named the group's album ''Quo Vadis?'' as one of the most anticipated Russian albums. In 2016, the song "Vse bylo tak" () was used in the film ''Gorodskie ptichki'' (), directed by Yuliya Belaya and featuring actors from the Gogol Center in the lead roles. Since 2016, the group has been actively touring, playing over 100 concerts in Russia, Belarus, the Baltic states, Germany, and Ukraine. Osip Mandelstam
Osip Emilyevich Mandelstam ( rus, Осип Эмильевич Мандельштам, p=ˈosʲɪp ɨˈmʲilʲjɪvʲɪtɕ mənʲdʲɪlʲˈʂtam; – 27 December 1938) was a Russian and Soviet poet. He was one of the foremost members of the Acmeist school. Osip Mandelstam was arrested during the repression of the 1930s and sent into internal exile with his wife, Nadezhda Mandelstam. Given a reprieve of sorts, they moved to Voronezh in southwestern Russia. In 1938 Mandelstam was arrested again and sentenced to five years in a corrective-labour camp in the Soviet Far East. He died that year at a transit camp near Vladivostok. Life and work Mandelstam was born on 14 January 1891 in Warsaw, Congress Poland, Russian Empire to a wealthy Polish-Jewish family. ''Leto'' (russian: Лето, Leto, 'Summer') is a 2018 Russian musical film directed by Kirill Serebrennikov that depicts the Leningrad underground rock scene of the early 1980s. The film draws loosely from the lives of the Soviet rock musicians Viktor Tsoi and Mike Naumenko. It was selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Cannes Soundtrack Award. Haldern Pop is an annual German open air music festival, first held in 1984. It takes place in Rees-Haldern (North Rhine-Westphalia). Focus The Haldern Pop Festival cannot be limited to one genre. The focus ranges from experimental metal, punk and indie-pop to jazz, classical concerts and German folk music. Played on several stages in the village of Haldern. Next to the main stage, a mirror tent on the festival grounds will be used for the performances. Liverpool Sound City is an annual music festival and industry conference in Liverpool, England. The Great Escape Festival
The Great Escape Festival is a three-day music festival held in Brighton and Hove, England every year in May. It is operated by MAMA Festivals and showcases new music from a variety of genres.
