Shoplifters Of The World
''Shoplifters of the World'' is a 2021 American independent comedy-drama film written and directed by Stephen Kijak. It stars Helena Howard, Ellar Coltrane, Elena Kampouris, Nick Krause, James Bloor, Thomas Lennon and Joe Manganiello. The film was released on March 26, 2021 by RLJE Films. Plot In Denver, four friends reel from the sudden break up of the Smiths, while the local radio station is held at gunpoint by a fan who forces a disgruntled heavy-metal DJ to play music by the Smiths all night. The plot is loosely based on an actual incident that occurred in 1988 when an 18-year-old attempted to commandeer Denver Top 40 station Y108. The Smiths were an English rock band formed in Manchester in 1982. They comprised the singer Morrissey, the guitarist Johnny Marr, the bassist Andy Rourke and the drummer Mike Joyce. They are regarded as one of the most important acts to emerge from the 1980s British independent music scene.
