Asaka Shooting Range
Camp Asaka is a base of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. It lies in four municipalities: Nerima, Nerima, Tokyo; Asaka, Saitama; Wakō, Saitama, Wako, Saitama; and Niiza, Saitama. It serves as the headquarters of the Eastern Army (Japan), Eastern Army. The camp was originally the site of a golf course from 1930 to 1940. It served as the site of the Imperial Japanese Army Junior Military Academy from 1941 to 1945, and as a United States Army camp (South Camp Drake) from 1945 to 1960, during which time it housed part of the 1st Cavalry Division (United States), 1st Cavalry Division. The Asaka Shooting Range was a firing range constructed on the site for the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and hosted pistol and rifle Shooting at the 1964 Summer Olympics, shooting and the shooting part of the Modern pentathlon at the 1964 Summer Olympics, modern pentathlon. Yashaswini Singh Deswal is an Indian sport shooter. As of 2021, she is ranked world No. 1 in 10 meter air pistol. Early and personal life Deswal was born on 30 March 1997 in New Delhi. Her father Surjeet Singh Deswal is an IPS officer who works as the Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police and mother Saroj Deswal is the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax in Panchkula. As of August 2019, Deswal studies at DAV College in Chandigarh. Career Deswal started practicing shooting in 2012. She qualified for the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China, where she finished sixth in the final of the 10 metre air pistol event. At the 2016 ISSF Junior World Cup, she won silver medals in both the individual event and the team event in Suhl, Germany, and gold in the team event at Qabala, Azerbaijan. Manu Bhaker
Manu Bhaker is an Indian Olympian who competes at airgun shooting. She represented India at the 2018 ISSF World Cup and won two gold medals. She is the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup.
