Men's double trap shooting made its first appearance at the 1996 Summer Olympics, with Russell Mark becoming the inaugural champion after a strong final. Wolf Creek Shooting Complex
The Wolf Creek Shooting Complex, now known as the Tom Lowe Shooting Grounds, is a shooting range located southwest of Atlanta, Georgia, United States, in Fulton County, Georgia, Fulton County. During the 1996 Summer Olympics, it hosted the Shooting at the 1996 Summer Olympics, shooting event. Until 2002, it was also often used for ISSF World Cup competitions in rifle and pistol events, although such competitions, when held in the United States, have now reverted to being carried out at Fort Benning. The venue is now owned by the Parks & Recreation Department of Fulton County. It has 20 trap shooting, trap and skeet shooting combination fields, and nine lighted areas. The facility has been host to several NSSA State and Zone skeet tournaments. The range is also home to recreational shooting leagues such as the Atlanta Skeet and Trap League. Rod Boll
Rod Boll (9 July 1952 – 28 January 2021) was a Canadian sports shooter. He competed in the men's double trap event at the 1996 Summer Olympics. Boll also competed at two editions of the Pan American Games, and won more than twenty titles during his career. He was posthumously inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame. Biography Boll was born in Fillmore, Saskatchewan in 1952. He was brought up on a farm and began trap shooting when he was 16, winning a junior title in 1970. At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Boll competed in the men's double trap event, where he finished in 19th place.
