''Shono'' ( bn, শোন; lit. Listen) is a Bengali-language pop album by Habib Wahid released on November 9, 2006. It is Habib Wahid's first solo album, and fourth studio album overall. The album has 9 tracks in total, which were all composed and produced by Habib Wahid. Habib also served as the main vocalist for album, singing every song except for "Calenderer Pata", which is sung by his father Ferdous Wahid. The album features a wide range of genres such as world, pop, EDM, and more. Release The album was originally released on January 1, 2006, through CDs. Habib Wahid (born 15 October 1979) is a Bangladeshi composer and singer. He works on modern pop music, EDM and a fusion of traditional Bengali folk music with contemporary techno and urban beats. His music is mainly influenced by British Bangladeshis, while he was living in the UK as a student. He is the son of the 1970s singer Ferdous Wahid. He has also produced music in Indian Bengali movies. He won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Music Director for the film '' Projapoti'' (2011). Early life Habib Wahid was born and brought up in Dhaka, Bangladesh. His ancestral home is in Kusumpur in Srinagar of Munshiganj (Bikrampur).He attended South Breeze School in Dhanmondi. His father, Ferdous Wahid, was a Pop singer during the 1970s and 1980s. A few years later, he went to England in pursuit of higher education and studied music & audio engineering at the School of Audio Engineering in London. He is also a solo singer. Ferdous Wahid
Ferdous Wahid is a retired Bangladeshi pop singer and film director. He made his directorial debut with the Bangladeshi film '' Kusumpurer Golpo'' (The Story of Kusumpur). Career Wahid started his career in the 1970s. His son Habib Wahid became a pop singer of the country too. Some of his hit songs while starting his career were composed by Anis Z. Chowdhury, Lucky Akhand and Alam Khan. Wahid retired from music industry in 2020. His brother, Captain Mustafa Jaglul Wahid, was married to Anju Kapoor - the sister of Indian film producer Dhiraj Vinod Kapoor.
