The Shire of Wannon was a local government area about west of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of , and existed from 1872 until 1994. The Barwon South West is an economic rural region located in the southwestern part of Victoria, Australia. The Barwon South West region stretches from the tip of the Queenscliff Heads to the border of South Australia.
